    Something to keep in mind, worn tie rod ends will allow wheel play. When they set the alignment at 20 threads it was probably done with good parts. As the tie rod ends wore out the slop was causing the toe to come out of adjustment. One thread more shouldn't make a substantial difference but you probably didn't need to move it to 21 threads instead of 20. Now it might be just a tad more toe-in than it needed to be.
