Days before the Ukraine peace summit in Switzerland, Russian President Putin, on June 14, laid out conditions for the Russia-Ukraine ceasefire. Putin said Russia would end the war only if Kyiv agreed to drop its NATO ambitions and hand over the entirety of four provinces. He restated his demand for Ukraine's demilitarisation, unchanged from the day he sent in his troops on Feb. 24, 2022. President Putin stressed that the Ukrainian regime must also guarantee the rights and freedoms of the Russian-speaking population. He said all these agreements should be fundamentally recognised at the international level, followed by the removal of Western sanctions against Russia. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov answered media questions following Putin's ceasefire remarks.

  • "You are democracy right? Ask the people what they should do"
  • If I was the Russians, I wouldn't care what the West thinks either. Minsk Peace Agreement laughed at and shredded by Poroshenko, Merkel and Macron, Minsk 2 also shredded by Ukraine and the West. Ceasefire and negotiations agreed in March 2022, shredded by boris johnson.
  • That's right, ask the people if they want to continue fueling this war and risk WW3. I am from Norway and it sickens me how we are not talking about negotiations or how to end this conflict, our leaders are c*cks adding more fuel to the fire.
  • @j2024b
People of every country do not want war .
  • @DB24K620
im american and my country is no democracy ! the people want peace
  • Hypocrisy: NATO annexing Kosovo from the sovereign country of Serbia and then calling Putin a war criminal for annexing Donbas from Ukraine 🤔
  • @sphsmith3400
To that reporter: Russia should pull out from Ukraine. Did he ask why the US and Britain didn't pull out of Iraq, or why dont the US pull out of Syria? Of course not. Do as I say not as I do, policy as usual.
  • @alexmarra6656
That's a real politician , the west have so much to learn, with Russia 🇷🇺
  • Obviously, the Russian proposals are quite reasonable, moderate, and fit well into the framework of usual behaviour in international politics. The west/Ukraine should take them to avoid further bloodshed and other damage.
  • @PLMS99
Putin and Lavrov, we would need politicians like you in the west
  • @EdWill908

  • @S1M1P
We see you western allies trying to encircle Russia. Africa is against your imperialism. We have experience of imperialism.
  • @Mitch1371Tube
Yes ask the people if Putin's proposal should be accepted! Bring on that Referendum!!
  • They tried that and started removing their troops and made them torpedo the peace deal
  • Feel sad for those in Ukraine today. This war is madness perpetrated by madmen.
