i really like the theory that moe plays along with the prank calls to give bart a laugh. yeah, moe is a very violent angry person with adults but he's shown repeatedly to be a great dude when it comes to kids. i think it perfectly fits moe's character.
  • The floating timeline really breaks things. There was an episode like 2-4 years ago where Marge was in highschool back in 1990, and I'm thinking "weird, I thought Marge was married with 3 kids back in 1990."

The butterfinger portion is genuinely fascinating to me bc I’ve literally never heard of them in my life. Like, they straight up don’t exist in my country

Casinos were not taking bets on this. That shot of the odds was taken at The Mirage sportsbook and was used in a special spoof episode of America's Most Wanted where they tried to find out who shot Mr Burns. If a casino took that bet, then writers from The Simpsons could easily exploit that.
  • With its increased metahumor like putting the Homer backing into a shrub gif meme on an episode, I'm a little surprised Graggle Simpson hasnt shown up on an actual episode yet.

It's always wild to me when I realize the Simpsons (the current version, not the sketch show version) is only a few months younger than me. Easy to remember how old the series is, at least, lol.
  • I’d imagine Graggle as a kind of character who only actually interacts with the characters on little occasion, most of the time only appearing in his own little scenes or in the background doing his own little thing while the other characters simply weren’t aware of his presence. However, he would have interacted with others on rare occasion like the supposed dinner table screenshot.

27:25 -- Homer's look being similar to an obscure comic strip character from the 1920s probably inspired the Season 7 episode "The Day the Violence Died" where an old homeless man (voiced by Kirk Douglas) claimed to have created Itchy and Scratchy first in 1919.

When my parents got married (in 1993) our reverend says “please don’t let your marriage end up like the simpsons”. Not sure why he said that, but just like the simpsons, 30 odd years on and their marriage is still going strong

I'm still convinced the Homer as Krusty error in Who Shot Mr. Burns part 1 is because Homer was accidentally drawn into the scene even though it was specified to leave him out, and they just recolored him and added the tuft of hair on top to correct the error.

Did you ever notice?: Patty and Selma have the same two hairstyles as classic wrestling tag team, The Wild Samoans.

The Barts soul thing isn’t really a plot hole, lisa could’ve talked to milhouse before dinner on the phone, teased Bart and then have her parents drive her to the comic shop after dinner. Bart would’ve been searching for milhouse for hours so it makes sense the comic shop would be closed and the soul would be sold already. Then the story continues when comic book guy finds Bart in front of the store.

They played the clip of Bush's Waltons speech in a short segment before an episode where Bart responds "We're just like the Waltons, we're praying for an end to the Depression too."

20:00 how is this a plot hole? bart went from the restaraunt to milhouses house, to his grandmothers house(presumably on foot in shelbyville where cannocially their family is from) back to springfield. the issue is how lisa knew comicbook guy had the soul now instead of milhouse, not how she got it before CBG, though this can easily be explained by the fact that shes been keeping track of it the entire time to teach bart a lesson about spirituality and the importance of it. she may have already tried to buy the soul from milhouse who said the same information when she saw how much bart was suffering, only giving her jabs in the resteraunt to mess with him to the point of breaking only to already have it secured.

I think milhouse showed off his alf pogs to lisa thinking she'd find it cool, and let it slip that he traded bart's soul for them at the comic store
  • Props to Wilfred on the iceberg and you for the video, the entries picked were very fun to learn about. Love the video 🔥🔥🔥

I've just realised that Marge's dad and Police Chief Wiggum have the same first name - Clancy !
  • Fun Fact in the THOH segment Time & Punishment Roy was originally going to be in it being Homer's eldest kid in an alternate reality.
