With Europe still in the grips of war and tensions escalating in the Middle East, particularly with the Israel War looming larger, the world finds itself on edge.

Iran-backed militants have clashed with US forces, sparking fears of a wider conflict.

Meanwhile, the threat of China continues to loom, adding to the uncertainty.

In this Sky News Digital Originals, we assess these developments, and explore exactly how concerned we should be.

Recent events, such as President Joe Biden's retaliatory strikes against Iran-backed groups, underscore the fragility of the situation.

With Russia's invasion of Ukraine in 2022 reshaping global dynamics and China's ambitions for superpower status, the stakes have never been higher.

As we navigate through these turbulent times and explore the challenges facing global security and diplomacy, we can't help but wonder, are we on the brink of WWIII?

In war who wins? Military Industrial Complex, banks, corrupt politicians and Blackrock. Who loses? Soldiers, old men, women and children.
  • We've already entered WW3. Like over six months ago. Just because the nukes haven't started going off doesn't mean we aren't at war with a big part of the world right now and engaged for the long haul that is steadily bringing in more and more players for various reasons. Sounds a lot like what was going on during WW2. When you think about it, they didn't start calling it WW2 till it was about over and Hitler was brought to his knees. It was considered that in hindsight. I hope everybody understands this. We are definitely engaged in a WW3. The results remain to be seen and let's be clear, I think when people start running out of ammo and/or patience, or giving into fear of loss of power, the nukes will start flying. Starvation on a global scale. War of this scale and nature cause great catastrophic change. Everyone will be affected. Everyone. It's already happening in increments.

Ww3 started a few years ago, and we are slowly moving closer to a major disaster for all countries.

There is something weird in human beings - every so many years we "need" destruction 😞... instead enjoying our short life

The $60billion should go back to the American tax payers, healthcare and education amongst other things.

We're already in WWIII. We're just dealing with skirmishes here and battles there. The migrant invasion another example.

  • I regret that I've lived this long to have viewed the brink of world war 3. But, all the worrying isn't going to stop it from occurring.

The war in Ukraine isn’t the first war in Europe since WW2.... Yugoslavia fell apart into a civil war, remember? Georgia? Chechnya? Remember?
