  • Thank you for this clear and concise video. It was extremely helpful. I Have watched many videos with information about these 2 printers and yours was the one to help me make the final decision. I just purchased the the epson sure color 170. Hopefully, in the future I will be able to upgrade!
  • Thanks for the video. The most important thing has been forgotten in the list of disadvantages of the Epson printer. A decisive factor, as known in photography, is the frame management. That is, the color reproduction. This is definitely better with the Sawgrass printers. Unfortunately, this is no longer a matter of taste when a turquoise color is displayed as a normal green. Of course, you have to consider what you can do without and what your personal advantages are. However, I consider color management to be indispensable.
  • thank you. I too have the F170, love it. By the way, its 399 and comes with full bottles of ink. It doesn't dry out if it goes unused for a while. I've went months with no issues. The print outs are fantastic. You can print up to 47.2 in length. I've only found the sublimation roll paper 8.5 wide from one place and it works great and saves lots of money. For really important things I only use Epson's paper. It also works great. I do agree with you on the ink. No matter what printer you get, stick with the correct ink. When I upgrade to a bigger one, it will be the Epson F540. I love that it uses the same ink as the F170 too. Thank you for a great and accurate video.
  • Great video and great information. I am currently working with a converted Epson and hate it. My printer pin wheels and get streaks far too often. Among other problems. I am in the process of purchasing a sublimation printer. Like everyone I am on the fence between the Sawgrass and Epson. Leaning towards the Epson. Does any of your printers have a problem with streaks? or pin wheel marks? Thank you for any information you can provide.

Thank you for the video and straight forward views, I had to toss my Epson printer so I’m a little skeptical of Epson. Has Epson given you any clogging issues?
  • @ELEM_Apparel
Thank you for sharing. I didn't know that Epson made a sublimation printer. I was headed for the Sawgrass. I'll more research and compare. 'Preciate it.
  • Thank you so much for the info. I make a decision on if its worth doing this or just purchasing premade sheets every year. I need about a 1000 prints a year but new to all this .. So if I see this correctly. epson f170. ink and paper is lower cost. just to make sure. does this work on polyester hockey jerseys?
  • Great Video! I've been going back and forth on which printer to get for a week so the clarity was wonderful. Quick question though - where do you get your Epson sublimation ink when you need to refill?
  • @daciasdiy1861
Please where did you get the huge paper cutter from?

I’ve used a “converted” Eason from the beginning and hate it. Now that I’m doing more sublimation I’m looking to upgrade to a Real Sublimation printer (likely the Eason) I was wondering if you’ve ever tried sublimating on WHITE Suede? If so do you lose True color? On my printer I print on a polyester canvas and get vibrant colors but when I use the same colors on white suede I get a much lighter color. Just trying to figure out if a Real Sublimation printer would help before I spend the money. Thanks!
  • @monspec00
What is the difference in maintenance between the two?
  • @esra3413
Only 4 mins in and already so glad I am watching...
  • @elbanti
I use the network USB cable with my F560, it was highly recommended in case wifi cut out in the middle of a huge printout! I hate the 2" of waste before and after each printout, is there a way to not have that?
  • @Imyourmoose
I need some help. I thought about buying Epson F6300 for 6K. Is it worth it? And if you want a full sublimation shirt do you need a transferpress of 80cm x 100cm? Or can you use a smaller one and do it in different press parts? With the Epson 6300 you can print 1 meter wide.
  • @freshMila
