Love all your analyses of Forestella! They are my favorite quartet …and there many exceptional quartets in Korea. Ko Woorim and Cho MinGyu are classically trained. Bae Doohoon has musical theatre background. Kang HyungHo, the countertenor, had no formal music training and was a chemical engineer before auditioning for Phantom Singers from which this group was formed. This group has a unique sound and your analyses have taught me a lot on why I love them. I would love to hear what you think of their Korean ballads- Silla’s moonlight, As I live, If I Leave - all well loved Korean classic songs.

Extraordinary performance. Thank you for your analysis. No matter what they sing, they are epic! Their English is exceptional. I hope you can review White Night sometime - another fabulous song with Kang Hyungho's amazingly high notes. Also, maybe consider doing Kang Hyungho's PITTA performance of Phantom of the Opera. Considering he had no formal education in music (he was formerly a research chemist), yet his voice is beautiful and flawless! Each member is a stellar performer in their own right. Look forward to seeing Ko Woorim back next May. Forestella is definitely my favorite singing group.
