How Deep to Drill a Well - Full Well Drilling

Doc shows the new deep well that will serve as a backup well to the farm property. People often try to limit the depth of well drilling to save money but Doc explains the benefits of drilling deeper which doesn't add a huge amount to the overall cost of drilling a well.

    Interest in the waste water from the cabin. Are you tying it in to your existing septic tank or adding a new septic tank. Cabin looks down hill from your yard where the septic tank is now installed for the main house. Just curious how you are handling the waste water.

    Now with the carbon filters, does that remove the chlorine necessary to keep the plumbing clean & bacteria free?

    If you set your well pump around the 200 to 300 foot mark it will be easier to pull it out and work on it yourself if needed. Also the deeper you go the more horse power pump you will need.

    water capacity depends upon size of sand strata. deeper wells here on Gulf coast have higher concentrations of salt.

    How do you plan to heat/cool the cabin (I.e. inside unit, outside unit, window unit)?

    Does the PVC Liner only go to rock and rest is open hole? I am O&G background so entire hole is cased to prevent collapse

    Hello Doc I have a well with pin gas, tank is galvanized non bladder can a bladder tank be ok or will pin gas increase air pressure on top of bladder any options? Thanks
