Thanks for another great video! My business venture didn't go well but for around a decade I made and lived on around $5k per year as a violin maker and repairman, before getting friends and family to loan me money to buy a house. Then I figured out that being an employee worked a lot better for me, though it took awhile to discover that a tiny percentage of jobs were something I could do well enough to stay hired. The ticket to success ended up being a freight delivery driver. I would run local over the road routes delivering Amazon to post offices, and ended up paying off the house, newer car, all credit cards, and having half a years income in the bank. I'm currently working part time in that job, and planning to restart the violin making and repair, but as a hobby.

I have a small business. In my assessment report, my psychologist suggested that running my own business where I interact with other people only via e-mail "suits his strengths and weaknesses". I hadn't looked at it that way before, but it fits. I never planned to own a business nor thought that I was capable of it, but I started the company with two other people, who ran it in to the ground and then left. When I was little, I thought that running a business was for people who are charismatic and driven. Go-getters! Risk takers! People who look good in a suit! But my business just re-sells commodity items and does it more efficiently and to a higher standard than most. It sells things that people already want, so I don't have to convince them they need my services. No marketing, yay! I can't imagine going back to an office job and I probably won't need to. Suits me!

❤ 🐞sold painted rock & sea shells & art as a kid & of course the classic lemonade stand with homemade cookies Later in life tried Amway, Mellaluca. Tupperware, Creative Memories Scrapbooking, Gluten Free Baked goods business. Now i run our farmstead from home, an Etsy self care soap shop, tarot readings for friends & help hubby with his lawn care business. Did i mention i propogate fruit trees & plants for sale too. Yup im overhelmed & burned out everyweek. Now im trting to step back and prioritize what we need to do to organize & bring balance into our life after 2 major life events, the loss of our daughter & family dog. Which brings me to your channel I am dislexic with ocd, cpstd, adhd, neurodivergent & just took the test & scored as Asperger Syndrome. Hi ❤ & thank you for your videos.
  • So true about just doing it! I used to wait until things were ‘right’ before I did anything, and that was relative to the situation of course. But I realized one day that if I’m not ready now then I’m never going to be ready so I might as well do whatever it was I wanted to do and get it started at least. Thank you so much for all these resources ❤❤❤🎊😭 I always wanted to start and own a business but it’s always been so hard to do so
  • I made a comic newpaper but never sold it to anyone except my best friend, who lived next door x

This was very helpful and insightful. I have an entrepreneur spirit but it’s only in my dreams… zero execution. Actually I just come up with entrepreneur ideas that I discern others would be good at…. like a fairy godmother saying a magical wand… Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo… this is what YOU could do 🧚🏻‍♀️ I used to love sitting at the sales and marketing table and throwing out ideas with no degree or title… just the admin serving up coffee, tea, and taking notes with one line comedic quips thrown in the mix of ideas…. Like Sprinkles on The Donuts. Some appreciated it, some didn’t. 🤷‍♀️ I’ve binged your videos over the past two days and I am feeling whole and complete and satisfied after the binge. I was recovering from an outcast meltdown shutdown holiday spiral and desperately needed a grounding element. You provided that with this body of work. Looking forward to more as and when they drop. ❤

I was a forensic scientist but started writing novels, which is the hardest and happiest thing I’ve ever done. Solitary work is best for me.

🐞 Fast commenting during a close deadline project I should have not taken while I was working on another close deadline project and doing other out-of-home jobs 😅 haaaa Thanks for gifting me a smile during all of this madness I could have avoided 🙂🐞
  • The idea of entrepreneuralism being one of my special interests is probably going to dominate my thought patterns for the next week.

In elementary school, I totally sold painted clam shells out in front of my grandparents house. Why there? Because their street was busier than mine😂
