LEGO Star Wars has a serious problem with their star wars line up recently. LEGO Star Wars Leaks have shown that the New LEGO Star Wars sets are going to be clone wars based with a UCS Venator, LAAT Gunship with Commander Fox, and a Clone Swamp Speeder. The Clone Army building VS Droid Army building is completely wrong leaving lego with a big droid problem...

Definitely agree with the lack of droids or separatist vehicles. For the rest on the last AAT the droids are actually accurate to the show. They are pilot droids for AAT. Using them as Kashyyyk droids was actually another inaccuracy from Lego

I want more but I know I shouldn't: Anakin Skywalker
  • @8Smoker8
Yes I want WAY more droids! They are the ones more based on overwhelming numbers, clones have very little to fight right now. I had to buy 2 AATs (underrated set btw), the only vehicle we got recently pretty much...

I am just surprised that they never made a Providence or Munificent-class. Like especially the Providence is really loved by star wars fans. And you could either do the „Invisible Hand“ (Grievous Flagship from Revenge of the Sith) or Admiral Trench‘s flagship from TCW and I think people would pay a lot of money if designed well.

I think the perfect battle droid battlepack would have 2 commando droids 2 B2 battle droids and 3 B1 battle droids (same build as the 2007 one)
  • I love the new AAT. I have two and the kasshyk droids are technically pilot droids. They are in clone wars and bad batch

Yea, we really need a lot more CIS representation in Lego, and what I urge the most now are actually munificent class frigate and the Invisible Hand.

Tactical droids being completely forgotten after the only appearance in Windu's starfighter was probably what grinds my gear the most. And its updated design only existing in one probably forgotten game doesn't help.

#droidbattlepack should have more than 4 droids in it like the OG did. I’d also like something else besides ANOTHER droid carrier. Maybe a command post or speeder/stap? Doesn’t matter it’s about the droids anyway
  • @jjquasar232
For a new Separatist Lego set, it would be cool to see a Depolater Tank, Triton class assault craft, and crab droid's
  • #droidbattlepack Personally, I'd like to see more of the troop carriers that use the folding nature of droids, like the OG one. I think that's what makes droid vehicles cooler. You can fit so many clankers in a tight space.
  • Im really hoping they make the droids with moveable arm and leg hinges, like that one guy did. i just cant get over the fact that they just kinda slide across the ground like all of them. B2s, B1s, Even the ones supposed to be mobile, BX's.
  • @davidvandersterre
The droid commando's are pretty slick and would definitely even the field a bit when the droids are going to battle the much more varied Clone vehicles. We don't just need more droid battle packs, we need more droids!

I feel LEGO has really been missing out on EP. 3 stuff lately, I feel like there's just so much opportunity there and unique sets they can make but just aren't. I've been playing a bit of Battlefront 2 (2005) and I see all the ships and locations and tanks and speeders and I'm like "yeah okay, but why can I swoosh these irl and build my own army tho?" 😭
  • @ivanovcentrumcz
The Droid Army design was awesome. AAT, MTT, STAP, C-9979, "space doughnut" and Vulture Fighter. Bygone era of creativity in the SW.
  • @MrScaryPasta
Good news! I figured out the hinge issues with B2s! Apparently to remove the legs, you have to move the torso froward and facing down. Simply move the body side to side til it pops without snapping apart and breaking.

Honestly I wouldn't mind having one of those Proton Cannons seen in the Clone Wars as a set. Sometimes the air space's too packed or the battlefield isn't sturdy enough to allow for a capital ship to act as artillery (well in the case of the CIS we don't have those either) Another great one might be the heavy transports that are deployed by the Lucerhulks in ep1 scaled big enough to carry one of the new AATs or a MTT, would also give the CIS a logistical backing while being a great set piece (though it's price would probably be far greater than the minifigure scale Milinium Falcon since it would easily be the biggest set to ever exist even if it's just a third the size of the smaller Clone Wars variant)...
  • @shieldphaser
Oh, I have that last SBD battle pack lying around here somewhere. Also have a whole MTT '08 along with some other droid vehicles like a quality hailfire droid of the earlier variety, which is pretty nice. Kind of stopped building new lego around 2012-ish, so my old collection's pretty balanced.
  • @Eriy3012
Homing Spider Droids, Hailfire Droids, AATs, MTTs, B2 Droids, BX Droids, Tactical Droids, Etc.
