a day in the life of a RESTAURANT OWNER in ITALY

The first restaurant is a cafeteria and we bought it more than 10 years ago. It’s only open at lunch, Monday to Friday. But because it is so spacious, we use it to host private events on the weekends.These events are always organized by Moldovan / Romanian people as my mom is from Moldova (country in Eastern Europe) and she has a lot of connections in the Moldovan / Romanian community of our city.
The second restaurant we bought recently, about 2 years ago, and it is a typical restaurant where you order from a menu. The price range for a dish goes from 10 to 25 euros.
To clarify, in my previous videos I would refer to these businesses as “my parent’s restaurants” because we consider it a family business and my dad is involved in it too, but "on paper" my mom is the actual owner.
Also, this video was filmed in May. I wasn’t gonna post it because my mom reads all of my comments and there’s always some rude people online. However she seemed more disappointment by the fact that I didn’t post it, so here it is!

Hi my name is Rosie, I'm 26 and my life is a bit confusing so i'm writing this lol.
To make it easy:
- I was born in Northern Italy, in the region of Veneto
- My whole family still lives there (mom, dad and my little sister Marty)
- I moved to Toronto, Canada, at 19 all alone to ✨find myself✨ (spoiler: it didn't work, i got more lost if anything).
So, I live half my life in Italy and half my life in Canada.
Also, my mom is from Moldova (country in Eastern Europe) and my dad is from Calabria (region in Southern Italy) and both my grandmas still live there. So you’ll occasionally see me going there as well.
I hope this clears things up a bit.. or maybe makes them more confusing lol.

My goodness your mom works so hard. She is incredible honestly.

The fact that she works extra hard to let her employees go home early says a lot about her. Your mom is one of a kind, so hardworking doing chores non-stop throughout the day and cooking. She really deserves everything and much more. I'm very happy she got her dream job. And everything seemed delicious! Not everyone shows this side of working in catering/restaurants in youtube, excellent video!

this lady is the definition of a BOSS. like what the hell. this makes me feel all the excuses myself and others make are nothing. she runs two businesses and catering. shops for the ingredients herself and still serves the food. cooks meals for the family in the restaurant and spends time with her loved ones. and keeps her restaurants clean. truly a boss.

The scene where your family all went to the fruit bar and sat together with some watermelon melted my heart. Your parents work so hard and yet, even though they must be absolutely exhausted, they still dedicate time to being together as a family, enjoying some fruit. That's true love right there.

The scale of your moms industrial restaurant kitchen and business is INSANE ! The fact she was doing it alone and keeping that size of customer turnover rate 200 happily fed. I’m in absolute awe of your family and also my dream. Many blessings to your family

Your mother might be the hardest working person I’ve ever seen! All her food looks so delicious and fresh. The desserts! The gelato! Heavenly. And she does the dishes too, what a humble beautiful person. This was so interesting to watch.

She does all that and then you hit us with the "she went to gelato school". She's a master at her craft and yet she still continues to pursue new skills and improve herself. Simply amazing. That is how you know someone is passionate.

I've worked in, and designed restaurants for a living. Even with the high tempo at which your mom works, she doesn't cut corners and her food looks great. She is a real working chef. It would be great to see another day of hers—she is exciting to watch.

I am literal AWE right now. How can one person do so much...she is such an inspiration. I could be wrong but it looks like she is very fulfilled doing the work that she does, otherwise it's so hard to maintain this amount of grit for long enough.
