This was very similar to Annie96 (or whatever) where the killer takes the victims phone after they kill them and pretend to be them. You can see where the way Monica doesn’t capitalize the beginning or her sentences.

Theory: Jackson actually is madly in love with monica, and knows that mark likes monica too, monica doesn't know about the Jackson part. While monica was hiding in the bushes texting mark, Jackson continues to ask Monica why she is in love with mark. Monica. Being confused just stutters. And ends up dropping her phone in a hurry to leave, Jackson attacks monica. And knocks her out. But does not kill her (bc he loves her) monica is laying on the floor, passed out. Jackson picks up monica's phone, and uses her fingerprint while she is unconscious to unlock it, he then begins to text mark which lead to the stories ending. Welp that's my theory.
