WHAT I GOT MY KIDS FOR CHRISTMAS 2019 | THRIFTED & NEW

We don't celebrate christmas, but we give our children gifts every year around this time. At first we gifted too much. And we noticed they just didn't appreciate it as much. I didn't want them to become spoiled and ungrateful, so... Since a couple of years we're doing things differently. They can pick one gift they really want, one gift they need, one experience (like a theme park or something like that), and a gift to give away to someone who needs it. It's shocking how this impacted their behaviour. Every year we donate some stuff too for kids who can't afford new toys. They enjoy it so much. Giving really makes them happier.😊 It's also great to keep my house minimalistic.😉

I love that you give your kids thrifted gifts. I have a 6 month old and most of her clothes and toys I have bought second hand. I wash them up and they are good as new! Babies grow out of clothes so fast that I would rather buy them used. Great video. Merry Christmas!

Yknow I'm 18 and still go to school and yet I'm still drawn to your channel whenever you upload. It's such a calming experience to watch your videos and really gives me a sense of stability and confidence to do my best. The Jesus Story Bible is my absolute favorite! Our church gave us a copy when we dedicated our son.. he is only 10 months old but already loves looking at the pages and listening to me read the stories to him.. it’s the best!
