Many people are talking about the meaning of this song being the bad part of yourself. While I see it as my friendship with a guy that I have known for a while. He gets angry quite often but that has never really bothered me. I enjoy listening to his long rants about stuff that makes him mad. And then helping him get his anger out, by hanging out or playing games together. He has honestly helped me learn how to stand up for myself and how to just tell others straightforward to "shut up." My best friend since childhood has the nickname "lemon" because she loves lemons (we both like eating them like apples), and when I first met her, she was a bit bitter and colder, wouldn't let me in to her little bubble world, but now, she's a sweetheart. She's caring, pretty, and the best listener I could ever have. I thought I had no chance with her, but she came out as bi, and yet..I still have no chance. She sees me as a friend. But I don't just want to be friends. I mean, I don't want to kiss her or anything like that. I do want to kiss her hand and dance with her and hug, but, oh well. My lemon is to bitter for that.
