Mushroom Dinner

This is my second year university project about a hungry man and his dog. The task was to make a 60 second animation, but mine ran over by a little. I challenged myself by animating in both stop motion and 2D, as you can see.

The animation would have received full marks, but was capped at 40% because I submitted it 4 minutes late due to technical issues.

What a sad ending! The quick cuts while cooking the mushrooms reminded me of Darren Aronofsky's earlier movies, and the switch from stop motion to colorful 2D reminded me of Mark Osborne's great short film "More". The set design for the dingy apartment was very good too!
