The common problem that's done in these rankings is confusing the actual formation of a nation with the oldest founded civilization that would eventually become the geographic homeland of that nation
  • Jacks geography knowledge fluctuating between absolute genius to absolute idiot is gold

Some of the Pyramids in Egypt are so old that Cleopatra lived closer to our timeline currently right now then when the pyramids were built. To Cleopatra, the pyramids were also ancient history

It's really hard to determine how old a country is. From which point do you count it as the modern county? What about border changes? Government changes? Name changes? What if they're occupied? Joins unions?
  • This is crazy, I just watched this video myself before you posted it! Thanks for the great content! Your kind of stuff is all that I watch! :) Congrats on 1 mil subs!

Modern Greece got its independence in the 1830s so the country as it is today isn't that old. However going of greek civilization the country should have been way older than that and once again would be hard to define the start of Greece as a country back then because each city was mostly considered independent of one another and the city-states would form alliances with each other

Please fix me. Turkiye was first established in 220 BC under the name of "Asya Hun", according to this, Turkiye has existed for exactly two thousand two hundred and forty-four years. I am very happy to teach this information, now you understand that it is old in Turkiye.
