I'm from (and still live and work in) Evansville, IN —Andy Timmons' hometown. I was teaching guitar at a local music store (circa 2007) and giving a lesson to a student whom I showed an Ace Frehley-sounding lick. I happened to comment that while the lick was all over the place in rock guitar, the fastest I'd ever heard it played was on an Andy Timmons tune called "Groove or Die." We gave it a listen, played the lick, and both agreed Andy played it faster than either of us would ever manage.  When the lesson was over, we walked out onto the main showroom of the store only to discover than Andy was actually in the store talking to the owner (Andy was back in town to visit his dad, Gene). I told Andy that we had JUST been listening to one of his tunes and asked if he would mind showing us that particular lick at tempo; he was more than happy to oblige. Both me and my student were floored. A great memory... Andy's an amazing person and one helluva guitar player!

I can't begin to tell you how cool it was to be in the room while this went on. I'm so glad Sweetwater captured this for people to see how two pros can come together with no practice and make mind blowing music with their guitars.
