Housing hundreds of animals, the volunteers at the North Valley Animal Disaster Group (NVADG) are saving lives behind fire lines. The group of over 300 volunteers trains each year to ensure they can skillfully maneuver through wildfires, rescue animals trapped at homes inside, and shelter them away in safety.
