barbie honorable mention got me, was thinking look at the range this guy has to play really everything
  • FFX has a special place in my heart. My dad had just moved out at the time in late 2001 and we connected on the phone over our progress on the game. And I visited his new place and we played together. We both completed the sphere grid, shared stories of our adventure and put 100+ hours into the game. I stopped gaming after that for about a decade and my dad passed away shortly after. One of the best memories I have of him.

When my wife and I first started living together, Final Fantasy 10 was the first game I got her super addicted to. My first, and only 100% complete, playthrough of it was actually a co-op run between my wife and I, with her pulling the vast majority of playtime. Sharing it with her made it the most memorable Final Fantasy to me. I will always love the game for that reason alone.
  • Nothing better to get you in a good mood than seeing Johnny and listen to him talking about video games.
  • Dude, please keep doing what you’re doing btw. You’re channel has made such an impact on me man. I appreciate all you do Jonny. Even if it seems like just talking into a camera, you make a difference in people’s lives more than you know.

Personal favourites (but not all of them as there are so many!) - Onimusha Warlords, Silent Hill 2, Metal Gear Solid 2, Soul Reaver 2, THPS3, Tekken 5, Medal of Honor Frontline, Soul Calibur 2, ICO, Shadow of the Colossus, Maximo, Quake 3 Arena, GTA3, Devil May Cry, Manhunt, Star Wars Battlefront, God of War and God of War 2. I'd better leave it there as I could go on all day! So many fantastic memories.

  • Now its like a tradition to me waking up in a sunday morning, my only rest day, like 11am argentinean time, make some coffee and breakfast and watching a new video of yours. Thanks!

You can NEVER talk about the PS2 too much, my favorite console still to this day.

One PS2 game I never see get any love is Arc the Lad: Twilight of the Spirits. I was in my early teens, had just fully cut my JRPG teeth on FFX, and played Arc between that and Dragon Quest VIII. Just picked it up as a random rental and ended up renting it several times before buying it. I can see how it was written off as more of the same, but for a noob to the genre like I was, it was a fantastic experience. Loved the story, combat, world building and everything.

Shadow of the Colossus is a masterpiece, it's one of my favorite games.

DQ8 is special for me because finally the character on the front package looks exactly just like the 3D model of the main characters in game. Not a Chibi/ Super Deformed/ Pixel Sprite. The closest representation of conceptual art to actual 3D art in game its really unthinkable for its time. And its Akira Toriyama's art to boot. You cant help imagine the possibilities maybe if they can start to make a Chrono Trigger in that style.
  • -GTA 3 -Final Fantasy 12 -Shadow of the Colossus -Twisted Metal Black -Kinetica -War of the Monsters -Soul Calibur 2 -Metal Gear Solid 2 -Silent Hill 2 -Resident Evil 4 (complete) Edit: And yeah, these games WILL hold up to you having fun with them to this date upon picking up that controller
  • Champions of Norath and it’s sequel were games my dad and I played completely multiple times! My brother got me into JRPG’s but my dad was the one who got me into games! Incredible memories playing games like Fallout 3 with him! I miss him everyday since he passed back in 2019!

My top 10: 10. Mana Khemia: Alchemists of Al-Revis 9. Shadow of the Colossus 8. Odin Sphere 7. Soul Calibur III 6. Tales of the Abyss 5. Suikoden V 4. Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater 3. Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 4 2. Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King 1. Okami Man, the PS2 had so many classics on it that limiting myself to just 10 is really harder than it sounds. Easily one of my favorite consoles.

So cool you included Tony Hawk's Underground. It was my first Tony Hawk game and it changed my life. I became a skater for a few years, introduced me to so much good music, got me to play all the other games and buy the new ones as they came out. Got me into Jackass and Viva La Bam. Skateboarding was a huge part of my childhood because of that game and was something that shaped me into who I am today.
