The Remarkable Journey of John – From Anger to Apostle

The thought of Jesus Christ... God made flesh. Eternal and Almighty. Washing feet ..!?!? Brings tears to my eyes. What manner of love and grace and humility is this? Mind-blowing

Thank you Father for allowing me to hear and receive this message of love over my life. I truly needed to hear and receive this message from God today as I have been praying for God to open my eyes thru His word and chip away at my hardened, prideful heart and I came across this video. God bless your ministry and may you continue to do God's work to bring all those lost souls to Christ. It is so true that every situation/hardship that I've ever been thru, God always finds a way to use it for His glory. Amen! 🙏💖

Each of the Apostles underwent an internal transformation while keeping a bit of their original "trademark grit" -- for example, Peter was known for being very decisive and managing a fleet of fishermen during an almost impossible time when the natural resources were depleted by military occupation and other issues. Similarly, James and John, "Sons of Thunder" were known for keeping and following the laws strictly and being protective of the concept of what was right. Following Christ in His inner circle bridged the gaps in their spiritual wisdom and allowed them to heal from the traumas in their lives, which allowed them to think more compassionately towards one another as brothers in Christ and to the thousands of others whose lives they would ultimately touch in their journeys and healing lectures/actions as Ministers of Christ. James was the first Apostle to be put to death. John seems to be the first to formally chronicle his experiences, perhaps worrying that the rest of them would have to carry on without the memories of the original 12. Matthew, who was a trained "keeper of accounts" also Chronicled, but more precisely his own experiences. Later on, Mark (who was a young noble serving as apprentice/translator to Peter) and Luke (physician and scholar who worked with Paul in his Ministry) also worked to interview and record as many stories as possible. And so we have the collection of gospels, which is interesting. Going back to the Sons of Thunder, James and John were very passionate in their following of the laws, and later on in their faith. While they weren't Zealots like Simon the Apostle, Christ saw the positive (passion) and called them to let go of the negative (anger), which prompted them to "call down the thunder" when someone offended Christ (Luke 9:54).

Just love how this showed up on my timeline after I mentioned it tonight! I really hate this life! People are so sick and lost. No one believes in Jesus anymore. And those who do have a delusional view of him!
