Ah man I just did a whole dissertation on how the government (uk) fails to use hardware and software with sufficient measures

Windows 11 SE. Windows 11 G. Windows 11 S. This is just my Windows 11 versions tier list.
  • This is not actual EnterpriseG, as can be seen in winver, this is a poorly made reconstruction. For those who have seen posts on Reddit and Twitter, please be aware that there is no actual Windows 11 Enterprise G ISO. All ISOs that claim to be Enterprise G are hacked together by similar methods to those shown in this video (I would know, I have written software that does exactly this). The only real EnterpriseG ISOs are those made by CMIT, and they are exclusively Chinese-localized Windows 10 ISOs with no official English language packs. These ISOs also receive customized updates from Chinese servers and contain various Chinese government enterprise enrollment software, so I would not recommend using them as a daily driver. If you really need a "debloated" version of Windows 11, use Windows 11 IoT LTSC. For those who are fine with Windows 10, use Windows 10 IoT LTSC. Please do not bother with these hacked together copies, as they have been reported by myself and others to have various stability issues.

2:35 The zip is "nested" because you also clicked "Download as a ZIP file" in MEGA. Since the file uploaded is already a ZIP, you can just press Standard download and it won't be nested (MEGA will not compress the zip again)

we got windows 11 SE, windows 11 S, and now windows 11 G

The command line "freezing" is because you ended up in text selection mode and the console doesn't want to update the screen in case text you're selecting disappears. Pressing any key that would type text would take you out, as would the Esc key.
  • 3:14 it's a setting, that can freeze CMD & PowerShell. IIRC you need to press the icon at the top left of the window, then go into "properties" (or was it options?), and there should be an option that affects this behavior
  • I do not think this is really for the Chinese mainly. There was a huge controversy in the US DoD a few years back when Microsoft pushed their save to cloud bullshit. One of the generals gave Microsoft a stern talking to because classified documents were being saved to external servers at Microsoft.

3:05 That "Freeze until you type a character" is a Windows CMD feature. When you select something, even one character by left-clicking, it effectively halts the program so that you can make the selection and then right-click or type a character to unhalt it and resume operation. This is extremely annoying and the first thing I disable on new installations of Windows Server. On the normal Windows CMD, click on the top-left icon so you get the dropdown menu and either select Defaults or Properties. Defaults is for every CMD session after the currently opened one; Properties is only for the current session and is not saved. Then just disable: "Quick Edit Mode" and "Insert Mode." I don't know if both are really needed, but I don't want these kinds of features anyway, so I always untick both.

I clicked thinking it was gonna be the full spyware version where everything is streamed live back to servers, meaning 0 privacy. Full control from the government. 😂
  • @AimDaCrazyOne
erick uploads so frequently and the content is actually good
  • @CentilmenSon
this would be extremely funny if windows is collecting data from governmental properties
  • One of the German state switched their work to Ubuntu and Libre office/Libre software

For the terminal thing, when you click on the console area (black), it gets you into 'select' mode. It will say 'Select' in the window title as well. In this mode any running application in the console is paused and you can select text from the console. To get out of the select mode you would press Esc. :) Next contoso thing, it's a msft thing to use Contoso as a placeholder for company names where they either can't just use Microsoft or in the software demos.
  • I’m loving the series. Can’t wait for W11 Pro testing.
  • 3:10 that's because if you click on cmd it will enter "select" mode which will freeze it until you exit it by pressing a character
  • @harpskid
This sounds like something I would use in addition to the christitus tool (assuming it still works). I don't daily drive windows anymore, but if I ever got a gaming pc or something this would probably be pretty usable.

Love you, continue with the good videos !
