He finished second in total points in the painted area. Jokić was first in post-up points and assists. He also led the league in total points and total assists from the elbows. Jokić recorded the second-most double-doubles in the league with 68 and the second-most triple-doubles with 25.

OKC won the number one seed because Denver blew a game against San Antonio and Dallas didn't suit up anybody against the Thunder. They still finished with the same record as the Nuggets so I don't think that number one seed is as big a deal as Bill seems to think it is.

I'm glad Russillo and Simmons are not doing the mainstream media thing of picking everyone but Jokić. Thanks for saying it how it is, Jokić is the best player in the world and he deserves to have his 3rd MVP.

I'm just gonna put this up here for your consideration: Firstly: SGA: 3rd PPG / 58th REB / 19th AST / 2nd STL / 6th EFF Jokic: 10th PPG / 4th REB / 3rd AST / 13th AST / 1st EFF Luka: 1st PPG / 15th REB / 2nd AST / 8th STL / 2nd EFF But then consider the following regarding the rosters, this is the games played for first 6 players for each of their teams: OKC: Chet 82 / Giddey 80 / Dort 79 / SGA 75 / JW 71 / Wallace 82 DEN: Porter Jr. 81 / Jokic 79 / KCP 76 / Gordon 73 / Murray 59 / Jackson 82 DAL: Jones Jr. 76 / Doncic 70 / Irving 58 / Green 57 / Liveley 55 / Hardaway 79 The question is, is it better to have Irving for 58, or Murray for 59 games, or your whole starting roster for an average of 77.5 games? Can't really calculate Doncic's starting roster average, since there were changes mid season, but we all agree that Ky is the name that swings the pendulum ;)

I’d like to know why Jokic never gets credit for having more steals/deflections/rebounds than Davis Embiid or Bam . Aren’t kicked balls etc defensive stats worthy of increasing his overall defensive grades?

OkC got the 1 seed on a tiebreak...& the games Murray missed.Nuggets actually won the same amount of games.Basically OKC got the 1 seed cuz of the the last Denver-OKC matchup in OKC. Thunder were missing 1 or 2 guys but SGA played...Jokic didn't,& 1 other starter-(Gordon or KCP-I think it was) Nuggets damn near won without Jokic but OKC pulled it out in the last minute. Well that,& that awful collapse vs SA Friday nigh-lol.And I get that Denver was expected to win around 57...OKC wasn't.But some people act like OKC finished 3 games ahead or something.

No way Shai had a tougher job that Luka this season.
