This goes super hard because it brings up one thing that’s not discussed often about dungeon meshi is the idea of “When does a heroic act become profane? When does a desire become obscene? What line can you cross before you become irredeemable?” It’s a core portion of the story and I love that. And it all starts with “what is too weird to eat?”

This is great. Delicious in Dungeon starts off a silly food anime but slowly grows into a serious character study.
