My Great Wife Lynn loved America. We spent many hours listening to the band while being together. Lynn passed on over a year ago and I can’t find my way in this world without her. Because of Jesus I will see her again but I miss her. When America plays anywhere my mind goes back and my heart skips a beat. Lynn, I need you.

My grandfather was lucky enough to play with these guys in the late 1960's. They didn't have a name yet back then.

In 73 I was 13. I so miss those days and that awesome music too.
-
And just like that I’m 17 years old, soaking in early 70’s dreamy soft rock America,Eagles, Bread

We saw America in the summer of 1976 in ATX (Austin). America & Santana opened for Peter Frampton. America was amazing. Dan Peek was still with them at this concert but he left America the year after in 1977 to start a solo Christian career. I don't think America was ever "America" without Dan. Thank you Dan and thank you America for the great music. R.I.P. Dan

One of the most greatest bands with the most thoughtful music ever ! Bread was a great band also ! I can't wait to hear America once again, so many memories !
-
The harmonies sounded perfect when Dan Peek was in the band. America is one of my favourite bands ever.

Beautiful song that transports you to a different time where your heart both melts and breaks at the same time. That’s hard to do. Sad songs are sometimes so good that they actually make you feel happy.
-
My God nobody comes close to the amazing talent of the songwriting from the 70"s
-
An American treasure.

Beautiful present for my birthday ❤🎉 Love you Dan, Gerry and Dewey❤❤❤

Phenomenal!! America is one of the greatest bands in the history of Rock! To this day they never got the credit that they deserved IMHO! Rock on Dewey & Gerry! 👍👍📀📀👏👏
-
One of my favourite bands of all time. Saw three times in the Toronto area in the seventies & then once in 1989 in the same area. They were so good when Dan Peek was part of them. Sad that he passed.

im 15, my father was 2 in 73 and my mother hadn’t been born yet. about 7 years ago, my brother (now 19) randomly introduced horse with no name to me one day, and i liked the song but never thought about actually listening to the band. about a year ago, we heard ventura highway for the first time and i finally decided to listen to them and they’ve been my favorite band ever since ❤ we are both devastated we never got to see america perform in the 70s with peek

As a teenager then I must’ve listened to that song day and night after a breakup. It was rough but it helped me get through the heartbreak… I’m old now but these memories always stay with you…
