Behind the Scenes of 'The Chosen': That Jesus Wink, Rough Characters & No Hollywood Money | Ep 288

I’ve been really sick since January and been in bed non stop for a very long time, I’ve been fighting cancer since 2020, first with breast and lymph node cancer and won that battle for it to come back aggressively in my bones four years later. I’ve fall down the rabbit hole with Duck Dynasty, Unashamed, Duck call room. I love them all. Seen them a few times now. Then when I saw the movie Chosen come out I was hooked and sitting on my seat for more from all of you. You all have made my faith stronger and I thank you all very much. God bless you all.

I'm so glad that Jesus decided that we are worth His love instead of being offended.

We all need to be praying for Dallas and the entire project -- because nothing can be this important and effective without coming under attack -- and I'm not just thinking humans but also spiritual attacks. So everyone, pray for protection for the entire Chosen project.

Don't worry about pleasing People Please JESUS

As a 50 something year old man I haven’t realized that I haven’t cried in years and my mother died last year but when I watched this I couldn’t hold it back. I identified with so many scenes in this. I can’t point to a particular favorite scene but when Mary backslides it hit me hard especially when Mary came back to the group and was so ashamed and Jesus said so easily said I forgive you that hit me unexpectedly and hard.

I loved the wink from Jesus at Barnaby - and his joy and laughter, his beautiful compassion you could see in his eyes/face and even his fun side and Jonathan did Jesus so well - like for me the most approachable Jesus I have seen in all my Bible movies.

The first episode where Jesus calls Mary by her name, that was it for me. I was hooked.

The last episode when Jesus came running to cast out the demon and save Simon the zealot caused me to burst into tears because I practically FELT the protective love of God, my heavenly Father- something I've missed out on from an earthly father. I pray for this ministry to be a part of the Holy Spirit being poured out over the world, and for hearts to be fertile ground for Him.

I had an amazing dream after watching season 1. In my dream Jesus was with me. He was answering all my questions and he just seemed delighted to be with me. I kept expecting he would leave or become bored with me, but he didn't. Then I worried that there were others that needed him too, but realized it was ok because he was with them too. Never have I had a dream where I felt that kind of love, peace, comfort, joy, happiness. It was indescribable. I felt so loved. And it was because the Chosen brought Jesus to me. Thank you. And I always loved Duck Dynasty. God be with you all.

I want to say that the Holy spirit himself used this show to bring me back to God. He used this show today to help me remember that desire to serve him. Yes this show is Personally directed and used by God as an instrument.

I know Dallas is terribly busy these days, but how wonderful that he was able to come down and talk with you guys. The only problem was time was short, there needs to be a part 2 as well...haha.

The Chosen is the best thing that has ever happened to television!

My husband and I just binge watched The Chosen first season this past weekend and then I get on here and see this. So awesome!
