Rational decisions here: -Apologizing to Chalmers for his shoddy directions -Batteries in smoke detector -Not lying to Chalmers about the state of his roast -Putting out roast instead of allowing it to turn into a blaze -Having a backup meal on hand (clams) -Excusing himself during his bowel troubles (presumably he actually has a sensitivity to clams so they do manifest in this timeline) -Having a dog
