Thank you. My son is a janitor. He's legally blind, but he doesn't want to go on disability. He doesn't tell anyone, just does his job. He's respected, because he works hard, but being a janitor, isn't a glamorous job. He's my hero.
  • Thank you to the unknown man who prayed with me while my grandson was dying in the hospital and hugged me tight when he found out he died. Thank you to the construction worker who stopped working by the side of the road to take off his hat and pay his respects when our funeral procession passed by. Thank you to the doctors and nurses who cared for him while he was in the hospital and gave us so much compassion while we took him off life support. They will never know how much they touched my heart and how they were a little light in the sea of darkness. Heroes indeed.

Here's a mechanic! Dad served in battle in the military! Mom works as a nurse. Tom, thank you for folks like you!

As a truck driver, I can not begin to describe how accurate the feeling of unappreciation is. You're a real one Tom.
  • Thank you, Tom. Janitor here, man, that line hit hard. I'm going to school to be an electrician while maintaining my family. My wife's an LVN. We both appreciate your song and music.
  • @Corvidae65
Professional truck driver for 39 years. 3.5 million accident and ticket free miles and was always glad to get back home to my wife. Thanks, Tom.

Welder here! I want to thank you for the appreciation! This country was founded on the hard working, “ordinary” ppl and there is too much attention on the celebrities. If it wasn’t for the plumbers, farmers, nurses and doctors and everyone like them we wouldn’t be the amazing, beautiful, free country that we are. Love to all the “grunts” that keep this country running!🇺🇸🇺🇸

Pipefitter/Welder here, many times we Freeze welding in the middle of winter or Bake in the hot sun with our PPE on! Or even Cry in our trucks heading for a 7/12 shutdown for weeks because we miss our family’s! Thanks for the recognition! Oh, and none of us see ourselves as Hero’s but it’s nice to be called one! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
  • Single homeschooling mama, janitor, housecleaner. I did whatever jobs I had to to feed and house my child. Kept my child from the toxic public school indoctrination. Thank you Tom MacDonald.
  • My dad was working for the city at the local landfill for 18 years until he couldn't anymore. Cancer got the better of him. Dealing with such a heartless killer such as cancer is totally utterly devastating but, We could have been in even worse place, if it wasn't for all the city employees which came together to help in any and every way they could, givinge up their hard earned money and precious days off to help cover my dad's absence while in chemo therapy. My.dad was a wonderful human being surrounded by the biggest heroes I have ever known. Thank you for this beautiful tribute, Mac, and a huge thank you and love you to the loving employees at the City of Colorado city Tx, who helped to bring much needed peace in our desperate time of need. Y'all are truley God's children. Real heroes with real super powers. 🙏
  • Medically retired Army Staff Sergeant. People say thank you for your service to me when They know I'm a veteran. So when I can I will try to go out of my way to say thank you to some of the very people you brought up in this video. Thank you to the everyday people, the heroes.
  • Mechanic here! Dads a military combat vet! Moms a nurse. Appreciate people like you tom!
  • Marine Corps Veteran and Truck Driver. We were worthless, then priceless, and now worthless again. Heros only when needed, hated when not. Song hits hard.
  • @AnimaMachina
Working as an volunteer EMT we rarely get a thank you. Most people take our work as granted. Thank you for this song. Gave me goosebumps.
  • Hi tom just a Grocery stocker here though the pandemic hurricanes and floods trying to keep the shelfs stocked for shoppers to buy and take care of there familys thought my job was trash Until some random shopper actually thanked me for doing my work. Thank you for your song.

This one hits home, my hubby retires in a couple weeks after 30 years as a carpenter, his body is wrecked, arthritis, back surgery, knee injections...the list goes on. He busted his ass for his family, he is our hero. Thank you for this tribute, they all deserve their flowers.
  • A security officer here. If you're reading this, you're a hero. Another great and informative song too, Tom
  • @Siirena
You are making me cry, Tom. I'm at work eating my lunch, and I'm trying not to let people see me crying. We love you, and THANK YOU for keeping us in your thoughts. 🙏 ❤️

Thanks for your music Tom. I’m a journeyman lineman and we all run to the storms while everyone else evacuates, to be first on the ground, to rebuild the catastrophic damage and get people's lives back on track. We don’t do it for glory, but out of the devotion to help those in need. It feels good to be recognized and seen. 🔥🙏
