The Medusa story:
=Medusa believed to be a beautiful maiden seduced by Poseidon in a temple of Athena. Such a sacrilege attracted the goddess' wrath, and she punished Medusa by turning her hair to snakes.

Note: I am not an expert at this if I'm wrong please don't hesitate to correct me

Why you can't take photos or videos at the Dolmabahçe palace?
=When entering the palace you need to put on plastic covers on your shoes and can't take any photographs or videos. This is just simply for the safety of the place. The palace displays real 3D furniture left untouched from the ottoman empire, any type of flashing from cameras can ruin the objects original form. You can take pictures on the outside though!

Is that place really the centre of the world?
=That area with the massive hole you saw in the video was actually stolen. There used to be a pillar but it got stolen from other empires. Some say that-that place is the centre of Istanbul but some say it is the centre of the world. When looking at the coordination of the world the point 0.00 is that exact place in Istanbul shown in the video

Overall:
The beauty of Istanbul was a beauty I'll never forget. In fact this trip and is something I'll never forget I had the best time here. Istanbul is such a beautiful city and I'm so lucky that I was able to see this in person. I am turkish but I've never went there before, thanks to my school trip (yup I was on a school trip :) I got the experience. I don't regret it one bit.

Medusa'nın hikayesi:
= Medusa'nın, Athena tapınağında Poseidon tarafından baştan çıkarılan güzel bir kız olduğuna inanılıyor. Böyle bir saygısızlık tanrıçanın öfkesini çekmiş ve Medusa'nın saçını yılana çevirerek cezalandırmıştır. Birde kim onun gözlerine bakarsa taşa dönüşürdü.

Dolmabahçe sarayında neden fotoğraf ve video çekmek yasak?

=Videoda gördüğünüz devasa deliğin bulunduğu alan aslında çalıntı. Eskiden bir sütun vardı ama diğer imparatorluklardan çalındı. Kimisi diyor ki, burası İstanbul'un merkezi, kimisi de dünyanın merkezi diyor. Dünyanın koordinasyonuna bakıldığında 0.00 noktası videoda gösterilen İstanbul'un tam yeridir.

sonuç:
İstanbul'un güzelliği unutamayacağım bir güzellikti. Aslında bu gezi asla unutamayacağım bir şey oldu, burada en güzel zamanlarımı geçirdim. İstanbul çok güzel bir şehir ve bunu bizzat görebildiğim için çok şanslıyım. Türküm ama daha önce oraya hiç gitmemiştim, okul gezim sayesinde (evet okul gezisindeydim :) tecrübe edindim. Bundan zerre kadar pişman değilim.
