The nerve of Jerry to even think of asking for taxpayer money for a new stadium when this is the team he puts on the field.

Getz shouldnt be a gm. And jerry and his group need to sell the team to an owner that wants to win . We on The south side of chicago fans deserve better then what they have been putting on the field. Take That!!!

It also makes no sense because Jerry said the only reason Getz was hired without a serious GM search is because he thought the team was ready now. Yet it wouldn't be surprising for that same team to lose 105 games? That makes sense?

Chicago loses tomorrow, they will be 80 games under .500 Detroit was 38-118 at one point in 2003, don’t think anyone else has been that bad since.

"The cards we've been dealt"? Nope. Sorry. Getz and the Sox weren't fated into fielding a noncompetitive team this year. That was an ACTIVE DECISION. It's true that Getz didn't have much to start with following last year's deadline trades. But Getz and Reinsdorf had the option of tossing this collection of scrubs onto the field or signing a few mid-level free agents to make this a more functional major league roster. They decided in their cheapness to go with the scrubs, and are getting exactly what they asked for -- the dubious distinction of having fielded the worst team in the history of Major League Baseball.
