3:48 I'm in Canada (up North of Canada) , we do NOT leave anything that is food, or can be mistaken for food or food garbage, in our cars overnight !! :) A bear can smell the baked pie, IN the truck with the widows and doors locked from a mile away (Littleraly a MILE) ... They think either it's honey, or if they are used to human food, it even smells better to than honey!!!. The only reason the bear opened the door properly, is because it's quieter (they can small humas 2 miles away!!) ... Because they can rip the door right off the vehicle with one paw!

Spud truck looks great in the powder blue. Clear-coat over it and design a blue-themed matt's logo. :D
  • @riverrat5865
Love how Colby is so excited that his goldfish survived to only have to stand by and watch as a second bear came and ate them, not only watch but film helplessly 😂 dad moves
  • The spring pockets are not gone just misplaced. My experience, if you want to find them buy a new set. The original set will then show up.

I started watching this channel for the guy doing amazing recoveries with a stock XJ, now the recoveries are mostly uneventful, but comedic relief has really carried the channel for me. Matt's Pajama shirt looks straight out of Russel Brands closet.
  • Matt...Take YOUR SIGNATURE LOOK and put it on the Spud Truck. Navy/dark blue, HiViz yellow and reflective silver! The colors of your towman shirt! then an interior of hawaiian shirt seats and dash!
  • As someone who grew up in Cali, and was in the Sierras every single weekend, I’ve gotta say…. That bear was over 300 pounds, second you’re lucky the door lock was broken, because if the bear couldn’t use the handle, he would have just ripped the door off, best case scenario. Never, ever leave food or coolers, even empty, in a vehicle in bear country. They can open a car like a soda can. The black bears here range from 300-600 pounds. Glad y’all are safe, been watching you since the flatbed time-lapse days.

At least it didn't drop a deuce inside the trucks.

I love Rhett’s humor so much. Quick witted slightly dry and a touch dark but none the less classy
  • Keep it blue and add yellow details. Like Rhett said, racing stripes, mirrors, fender wells, etc. Blue and yellow compliment each other really well.

Bear wanted a Tshirt..its cub mobile was stuck.
  • Our friend was in WY and had a bear break in their new Ford 4-door truck. All doors were locked. The bear got his nails in the rear crack or edge of the rear door. He then pressed on the door itself while pulling with his nails and was able to pop the door open. Amazingly, the door was not damaged. The lock worked and the door was not sprung.
  • Keep the blue, its beautiful. It's a classic, do a classy yellow and black pin stripe that goes from the front fender through the end of the doors before the bed.

Drove one of these configured as a flatbed dump in my early twenties. We used it as a stem truck. Worked for a winery and the left over stems (after the grapes were striped off) went in to the truck to be dumped out back for compost. Also drove it on the California Bay Area freeways to pick up barrel racks and such. Steering wheel had 45 degrees of free play so it was quite the thrill to drive. It was the exact same color blue, so I need to see some blue retained. How about a yellow body, but retain the original blue hood. Yes, it will look goofy, but if that is the intended plan, then it's OK.

Bears have an incredible sense of smell. Decades ago I was camping in bear country in California. I had mixed up some powdered milk in a 1 litre plastic bottle, and put it under a rock in a stream to keep it cool till morning. About dawn we woke up to see a bear holding that plastic bottle like a baby bottle drinking my milk through holes he had punctured through the bottle.
  • You're so fortunate the vehicle interiors are intact! My son is a ranger at Sequoia, and bear-human interaction is one of the largest nuisances they face. You should see some of the car interiors after the bears get done!
  • 34:45 - If it were my truck, I would do yellow to maintain brand consistency, but go with one you like vs being random and available, or has a really cool story to it! Maybe even like a CAT Yellow or something with an industrial vibe to play off the size 🎉 You could also do yellow over black! Since your logo has more than one color in it, but definitely enough yellow where you’re not wondering if it’s MORR pulling up
  • @dohiii
I would like to thank the MORR team for the great bear decoy job you did. We were at Tahoe too camping, and the bears left us alone!! 👍🏼
