Adventure Time just keeps the good times rolling, eh? After assuming it was over and done with, Distant Lands gave us more of Finn and Jake, and a little more closure to their story, too. But even when that finale to end all finales hit our screens, there was more story to be told. More adventures to be had! The genderbent versions of Finn and Jake, Fionna and Cake, had a world to make magic, and a whole lot of multiversal secrets to uncover! And just like before, even though it acts as a sequel of sorts, Fionna and Cake also adds some additional details to the lore of the past! With that in mind, it’s time to get started on the most complete Adventure Time Chronology we’ve ever seen! For now, anyway. More to come, I’m sure.
As per usual, we’re gonna start out with a huge shout-out to JAGM, who is behind the wildly detailed Adventure Time timeline. You can check out their work at ATChronology.com, and boy is it worth a look. Also, we’re not including any of the stuff that happened in the comics in this timeline, as these are NOT CANON. Ask Adam Muto if you want that confirmed. This timeline is show events ONLY. We’ll continue to rock with the Great Mushroom War as our Year Zero, as that just seems to be the way we do things when talking Adventure Time.

the fact that the ice king became a thing because simon decided to wear the crown "as a joke" is simultaneously hilarious and completely understandable because who wouldn't do the same.

You know they totally just made a fun kids show at first and then tied it all together with amazingly deep lore that they added onto. This is an insanely cool timeline.

Adventure Time has always been one of my favourite series of all time and I’m glad it’s getting the recognition it deserves recently, let’s hope there’s more content for the franchise in the future.

Adventure time is definitely a show I have lots of respect for, shows like SpongeBob have been milked for every cent it's worth to the point where it hurts to watch but adventure time managed to close plot holes and answer questions with other serieses like what happened to finn and jake after the main show, how did bmo meet finn and jake, does Simon get closure for Betty what happened to farmworld finn and while simultaneously making sure the spin off series don't leave any more plotholes like what was finn like before he died or what happens to the scearub after he's defeated and that's amazing and it should be the standard for how every show operates

I just realized something. When the Lich wished for all life to be destroyed, he created a new universe in the multiverse, where Simon and Co. went to and explains why ice king suddenly turns into a skeleton in the tape

It seemed like from the weather in the background when Simon records himself with the crown that the unusual snow storms he caused might have been partly responsible for the Mushroom War

If the Lich was part of the "Monsters before there was nothing" and he reincarnated into the comet, does that mean that Finn was part of the Monsters too since he was reincarnated into a comet? Always wondered that.

This is a personal theory, but i believe King of Mars is a Primordial like Cocontempi and Orgalorg. When orgalorg's brain was coming out of gunter's head, he was placing down wooden planks in the shapes of random things, but then of KoM? Why the weird callback? It HAS to mean something.
