People are not mad at the pick, people are mad that you paid a guy 100 million guaranteed to draft a guy in the top 10 to be a backup? You didn’t have to spend that type of money on a qb when you coulda just made the pick and used that money to fill other holes on the team

It's not a mistake it just doesn't make sense. Why pay Cousins and enter "win now" mode, to use a top 10 pick on a player you don't intend to play. It might turn out great as a long term move, but it doesn't help you in the short term.
  • "the quintessential role model when it come to getting your bag for minimal production" 😂

Falcons said “sim the off-season it’ll be fine”

They should've never signed Cousins if they were going to draft a QB. All that money could've been spent elsewhere to improve the roster.

SAS cried like a teenage girl for 6 months when Green Bay drafted Jordan Love with Rodgers still there 😂😂

Only Stephen A would be dumb enough to think the reason falcons fans were disappointed had anything to do with Kirk Cousins feelings

Just because you yell doesn't you right 🤣 dude is a clown

I don’t think it’s a mistake. Let’s be very very clear. Kirk Cousin’s is 36 with an achillis tear. They need someone who is young to sit back and learn and get ready to take the field, Kirk could go down at any point and they need the future.

The only disappointing thing is that we likely won't get to see Penix play next year because he's fun to watch.
  • Of course it’s a mistake. If it’s not, then signing Cousins to a lucrative deal was a mistake. It’s one or the other at this point

You have three assets in the NFL. Cap dollars, draft picks, and players. You used a significant amount of cap space and a premium draft pick on the same position in the same off-season. Enough said.
