Your local Asian Grocer should have the pickled mustard greens. Kim Chi is actually very different flavor because the pickled mustard greens aren't spicy, but they have a slight horseradish flavor. As all good mothers and home cooks do ... cook what you have not what you wish you had.

Oh man I make chili oil the exact same way. It gets used throughout the week since, knowing I have it on hand - totally influences the meals I make lmao. Also whenever I hear mapo tofu, I can't help but think of Food Wars.
