Hi Poppy, stumbled across this video of yours and thought I'd mention that, like you, I uploaded consistently for 10 years (didn't miss a week), and my channel was sub 25,000 for 9 years and then suddenly it exploded last year. With your work ethic and diligently trying to improve (you clearly are), it's a matter of time. You rock, wish you the best.

I just stumbled across your lovely channel and want to say thank you for making this video. You just spoke directly to me and some of my frustrations of deciding to start taking YouTube seriously and grow my channel. I feel really encouraged to continue on my journey and really happy that you’ve been able to change your life via your YouTube experience.

Around like 7 years ago i started a youtube channel when i was a teenager and after a while i stopped posting on that channel, I lowkey regret not sticking with it. Now that im older I've been wanting to start a youtube channel again for such a long time. I've been seeing so many people on my home page start their youtube channel and it makes me want to also start again. But the fear and all the doubts have been stopping me from starting anything. I have so many interests i dont know where to start or what to post. When you mentioned comparing yourself to other youtubers I felt that. It definitely stops me from starting because i feel like i dont have anything to bring to the table. Hopefully i'll be able to finally get the courage to start my own. Thank you for this video <3

There are 2 things that are in my opinion the most important. First is consistency, and second is to try to improve something every single time. That's the rule in everything, also here on YouTube. And also numbers are less important. More important is that value you are mentioning, and giving your best. Just 2 cents from a fellow new creator (doing this for 1 and a half months now) 😅 I actually love this types of videos that you do. Just continue doing it! You have my full support

I started just like you on Movie Maker in my sophomore year of high school, editing videos are a lot of fun. This truly fuels me 😊.

I love these types of small-YouTuber videos and this one is really lovely. I’m about to start making videos to have a creative outlet that’s a little more immediately shareable than novel writing or narrative filmmaking, and I’m nervous but excited!

Hi Poppy🥰 I definitely see your creativity in your vlogs all the time🫶🏼 Thank you so much to you for putting so much effort to make amazing content for us❤🩷🩵 You are the BEST!!! i really think you are my best friend;)✨
  • I'm a fairly recent subscriber (who doesn't comment a lot, but hi!) and I must say that I really loved the vibe of this video. Not only was it nice to hear your reflections on your journey, but the visuals and music were very soothing 😊 I've had my channel for a little over two years now and was more consistent in the beginning, then life took over for a bit and now I'm able (and motivated) to be a little more consistent again! I don't usually compare myself to other creators and wondering where I went wrong for them to grow faster than I am, but I definitely fall victim to the analytics and checking them waaaay too often, especially when I've just published something. And I definitely sometimes feel like the "wrong" videos (the ones that felt more rushed or weird) do better than the ones that I spent more time on and that are on topics I feel "should" interest more people 🤷‍♀️
