Imagine as an Ncr trooper hearing about these weird legion guys talking about some sort of war god Mars all the time laughing about it then seeing your president get smitten seemingly by the might of a god. There would be mass desertions.

I love how all the surviving soldiers are looking around like they're trying to figure out what just happened.

Honestly this is the best reason for anyone to do a legion run.

I love how the NCR Veteran Rangers are still alive despite being in the center of the blast radius. Those guys really had stats way higher than what they should have for dudes in flak armor with helmets.

I can only imagine the after math of those on the ground. (Lets asume others can't see the targetting lasers) you're a trooper nearing the end of your tour. You're sent to the speech as extra security so you're in the back. The president is giving his speech. Before you can complehend what happens the president is eviscerate and half the crowd s dead or on fire. You recall seeing a bolt of light and the feeling of intese heat. Your ears are ringing as all you see is the chaos of others rushing to aid those surviving. You can not hear but you see medics shouting and men screaming. The smell of burning flesh fills your nose. As all you can do his follow the medic who's pushing you inside so he can treat you.
