*NOTE* I am VERY out of practice, this video is meant for family and friends - I'll do a better video later.

Just a comparison of my old third-hand guitar to my brand new Orpheus Valley FC65CW electric acoustic. Despite the fact that I recorded the new guitar stuff on an earlier night (when I was feeling less sick) my proficiency at playing the songs didn't change much in between them. Notice that I can get louder sound out of the new guitar and that the old guitar sometimes has an annoying buzzing noise on the lowest string when I try to play it loudly.

The sound quality would be much better through the pickup or with a mic up close (and you wouldn't be able to hear my nails against the strings), but you can still get somewhat of an idea of the tonal differences.

Oh, and sorry, I'm a little rusty :) I'll have to do another recording later once I've boned up more.

What a coincidence :) Yeah, it's a great guitar to learn on. I got all my best experience on that guitar, but my second guitar (the first one in this video) didn't seem to inspire me much, so I'm hoping for better results from the Orpheus Valley. I'm already pretty happy with it overall. I used to know a couple of Flamenco songs, but they were difficult so i forgot them long ago. Flamenco guitars are awesome, but yeah, expensive. I hope to get one someday and a good instructor for it.

Thanks - yeah the volume is a bit low, but it's actually significantly better in a room with good acoustics or, of course, when hooked up to an amp. I'll probably get an amp eventually, but I'm in an apartment so I wouldn't use it much. My only other guitar besides these two is a Yamaha C40 - my first one. Nails don't sound good on steel strings, which is why I've only had classicals. I'll try to post something louder next month after some more practice.
