    Zero drop for me. I wear Altra Escalantes for my everyday shoe, Lone Peaks for the trail, Xero Z-Trail EV when I wear sandals and for my camp shoes. I even wear Minnetonka moccasins around the house. Zero drop all the way. Great episode!🙌

    Nice episode. I started off with the really heavy waterproof leather boot. I transitioned to barefoot style shoes for everyday use a few years ago. I still go with my two pairs of Altra Lone Peak 5s for backpacking until my feet and posterior chain are strengthened more. Zero drop and wide toe box is great for me. I'll go with the Xero Mesa Trail barefoot shoes if I'm carrying around 25 lbs or less. I really enjoy the ground feel and quick response to terrain. I might look into Topo Athletic Runventures next. They're zero drop with some Vibram outsoles but light and has a lower stack height (20mm) like the Altra Superior (21mm). Altra's MaxTrac outsoles wear down way too fast. One of the reasons why I started transitioning to barefoot style shoes was overall cost. One of the first things to go in traditional shoes is the EVA foam. With no foam, my barefoot shoes should last years vs months. I'll still get hot spots at times but I blame that on my feet & walking gait. 😄
