"Luckily nobody was on the smaller boat when the Sinabung crashed into it." At 14:25 you can clearly see someone walking on the deck of the smaller boat.

On 16:00 Black Sea ships, cameraman is speaking Turkish. As a rough translation he was calling his crewmates to check the ropes in the front of the ship. He wasn't calling anyone to run. Source: my 40 year old Turkish heritage.
  • Bro, at 14:25, you clearly see someone on the smaller ship. Then from 15:26, you said luckily no one was on the smaller boat. Really dude?

That last video is INSANE- I'm not sure I would've known what to do if I'd been one of the fishermen! Their quick response definitely saved their lives
  • @Bones-dr2vt
Actually if you look closely you will see a person on the ship that gets hit 14:26

Love the fact that even in China when something bad happened the language of choice switches to English. At 9:00 a ship runs into a bridge and after a Chinese words were uttered we got "WTF". Hey, you use the best tools available to you!

After the Venitian incident the laggon was closed to all cruise ships. I remember it being news headlines for days after.

Venice, Italy, is on the EAST coast, on the Grecian side of Italy. Venice, Florida, USA, is on the west coast of Florida, on the Caribbean or Gulf Coast side. A little geography, that Venice, Italy is not on the "northwest coast of Italy", as you say in the video. Edit: Also, that's a lot more than a "three deck cruise ship". (Sheesh, don't you proof-read?)

Check out Queen of Oak Bay crash - a BC Ferries vessel lost thrusters just before docking and plowed through a marina. Engine failures are bad enough on any vessel, but having them happen while docking.... It's amazing to see these massive ships moving so slowly yet, with their inertia, causing so much damage.

After serving 24 years as a Merchant Marine I can tell you with complete honesty that there is no such thing as a minor maritime accident. Even if the repairs at the shipyard only cost tens of thousands or hundreds of thousands, the cost of investigations and accessment of fines by the controlling government agencies can get up into the tens and hundreds of millions. Especially when there has to be cleanups.

9:00 I love how the guys recording were just casually speaking Chinese then suddenly WHAT THE FUK!

There's a UK old radio comedy called The Navy Lark, about an incompetent naval crew on a ship called HMS Troutbridge. These captains must have been taking navigation lessons from that fictional comedy vessel. 😁

Underworld > bridge nearly collapses. video > no dust even stirred up.

Considering he last clip, how could anyone plead "not guilty" of any charges??? Very telling of someone born "IRRESPONSIBLE" .

When you add stupidity to carelessness it usually ends in disaster.

BTW, Vashon's second syllable rhymes with "lawn". And I've ridden enough WA state ferries to know their horns can wake the dead. I don't know how anyone could've slept through that. All I can figure is the person below-decks prolly thought he was PASSING the ferry, not about to be HIT by the ferry. Although ferries don't typically wail on their horns while they're en route to or fro.

On the last clip, I would've been jumped off lol The last guy on that fishing boat stayed on wayy too long imo. I'd definitely would've sued as well

When I was a kid I was on the Edmonds/Kingston ferry run with my grandparents in very thick fog and we almost hit a smaller boat out in it. The captain of the small boat didn't have its radar on. The captain of the ferry put the engine into reverse and the whole thing shook like an earthquake. The smaller boat was ordered to follow the ferry to the dock, where I'm certain authorities were waiting to speak with the captain once we got there. The smaller boat did indeed follow.
