I used to practice Taido when I was younger, and I always found it a unique martial art that gets little to no recognition, especially in games. So I'm beyond happy that Tekken is the first (to my knowledge) to feature it prominently. (:
-
So she's a mix between Mishima-ryu Karate and Taido, much like Jin which now has a mix of Mishima-ryu in his standard Kyokushin.
-
What Tekken has always being doing since the first game. The great Faithfulness of the martial arts in real life reproduced in the game. Tekken is the best👀

I am a member of the only official Taido school in America, and I am a huge fan of Nakano sensei's display of speed and agility, and it is great news to hear that he himself worked directly with the developers of Tekken to finally bring Taido into the spotlight, I know Nakano sensei has been working to do that as well.
-
finally one of my favorite VAs in tekken, brings the character to life!
-
she's so cool man, i've been watching her reveal trailer nonstop. i dont even play tekken
-
I'm enjoying the passion and detail devoted to martial arts in Tekken.
-
Now as a martial arts fan, this is such good content. This is just fire
-
@0:22 ain't gonna lie, that slide looked smooth
-
If Karate and Capoeira had a child.
-
After Reina with Taido, next is Lidia Sobieska with her new Shotokan..
-
Those odd angle kicks! I knew from the start that it's taido.
-
This is awesome to see, big fan of Nakano's Sensei's channel and videos.
-
This fighting style is so nimble mixture of a lot of things to Judo, traditional Karate, to even a little bit of Capoeira it’s so cool. This by far has to be one of the coolest characters to be ever made in the Tekken Franchise.
-
Having practiced Capoeira for years I always thought that it doesn't work in Tekken. This is so much better. The same strong kicks are straight forward and powerful. Works so much better when building a fighting game
-
Seeing Reina feels like such a nice palate cleanser after Victor lol. Not that I hate him, but I'm glad the final T8 roster reveal is more of a traditional martial artist. But yeah I think Tekken is smart enough to give room for both stylish and traditional.
-
All hail Taido master Tetsuji Nakano 中野 哲爾 for collaborating with Bandai Namco during Reina's design and animation phase
-
They did very well with her animations, like holy crap lol

This looks real cool.... maybe I should practice Taido. Some of the ground kicks look sick as heck
