Tuukka is our goalie and no question he should be. His positioning, movement, calmness is exactly what the Bruins need. This D core is solid but not great, and he is bailing them out a lot more than he gets credit for. Love the Bru!!
  • Can’t believe I have to still say this but Tuukka Rask is an elite goalie, Period. Some people are just never going to get it.
  • @JasonBrennan90
I feel like it is Tuukkas positioning and calmness that people mistake for him not caring. He rarely needs to make desperation saves because he is always in the right spot. Like he makes it look too easy so maybe that's why people think he isn't trying? I don't know. The hate makes zero sense to me

And can we say anything else about the absolute perfection that is Charlie McAvoy? That kid is just a stud.
  • @cindyluwho72
Hall was getting mauled the entire game, but his boys stepped up! McAvoy: STUD as usual! Tuukka: I don't Care what anyone says, he's getting his job done! Steaming hot fresh Fazenda goes to Marchand Ali night!!! But the Spark was during intermission: Billy "Blue Suit" Jaffe 🔥🥰

We're growing into the series, next two games at home, lets make it 3-1 for when we go back to Washington!

I would LOVE to see a podcast focused on Tuukka! Great idea Jaff.
  • I personally feel that anybody who thinks negatively of Tuukka simply doesn't have enough understanding of the sport to realize how elite he is.

Would like a show about Rask, but you will get all the haters calling in and spewing their comments. Rational minds will need to prevail. Not sure it can happen. Great show as always.

I think Tuukka Rask is the best Goalie in the play offs! Lock it in!
  • Positives; - The entire top-6 was good. Still room to grow, especially for the Krejci line. But they found their game. When Marchand is right he's impossible to get the puck away from. That was why it was so jarring to see him coughing it up so much in game 1. Looks like he's found his game. - Much better game from Reilly. Strong game from Carlo and McAvoy. Still a mixed bag from Gryzelcyk in my opinion but some really nice plays. - Coyle and Debrusk were probably the Bruins two best players. Debrusk has been their most consistent forward so far. - Really strong game from Clifton. Negatives; - They want him in the lineup and this should be a good series for him, but Kevan Miller has been horrendous. It's all correctible - he's not playing within himself. Someone needs to remind him that he's a #6 D that they pay for solid defense and to give McAvoy and Carlo a break. They don't pay him to be flying all over the ice getting caught in pinches and basically doing a "Connor Clifton at his worst" impression. I'd seriously consider, if Lauzon is healthy for game 3, starting Clifton over Miller at 3RD. - The D overall is not making good reads at the blue lines. They keep pinching without support and getting burned. It's easily correctible, but with the number of odd-man rushes they've given up they're lucky they haven't gotten scored on more. - Not a great game for the 4th line. Wagner in particular is struggling again. NESN showed a reel of neutral zone turnovers during one of the intermissions. Like 4 of them were Wagner. I'd probably still stick with him though. It's ok to limit their ice time and only play the 4th line and bottom D pair 10-minutes each. You have other guys who can eat minutes. - Still room for Rask to be better. He was terrific in the first 5 minutes and has overall been good. But there are still more saves to be made. The 2nd one I'm not all that mad about. It looked like he didn't know Orlov had shot it until the puck was on top of him. Would still like to see that puck hit him though rather than sneak through. He can be better.

I love watching and talking hockey with my dad but whenever rask comes up it's always a conversation I try to avoid or give my best take on. His biggest things with tuukka is "He can't win the big game" or "he should've had that that was awful and a weak shot" or "he's a quitter". I'm always just like no that's not it at all should he have had X goal maybe but he isn't the only goalie In the league that let's in a soft goal it's part of hockey, it happens. I don't think he and a lot of people realize the big games they say he can't win are almost always the whole team at fault for not stepping up the way they should. You just really feel for rask getting so much undeserved hate. Without rask we would not be in the position we are in today hell the last however many years too.
  • @4067tbone
Tuukka will make 10-15 great saves and then let a couple weak ones in it drives people crazy but he's still our guy ride him out

  • Intense game. Great show this morning! Nice to pull it out as it was looking as if the Bruins were about to be in a hole that might have been too deep to recover from, but now it wouldn't surprise me to see them go back to DC up 3-1. Washington won't go away though and they will likely take up the physical play another notch.....so an effective power play would be a huge lift going forward.
