True comedic genius. A nearly five minute love letter to all of DKC music and then shows three seconds of the underwater level and doesn't play any of the music (which is arguably some of the best game music ever). Dunk knew what he was doing lol.

My favorite thing about dunkey, even more than the humor, is seeing how genuinely passionate and excited he gets about the things he enjoys. His excitement is so contagious, I've never played donkey Kong and I watched the whole video with a big-ass grin

Seeing all this game play is making me realize I've never seen 3/4ths of these levels and I was a terrible gamer as a child.

Donkey Kong's soundtracks is the type of music you would listen to when you feel sad, they'll immediately brighten your day up with their funky melodies.

this is probably my fav video Dunkey has done bc it resonates so much with me. i used to play DKC2 over and over as a kid and the music is what always stuck with me the most. the composers were tasked with just making some music for a monkey video game and ended up creating some of the most instantly recognizable, fun, and catchy tunes ever put in a game right alongside some straight up transcendental masterpieces. shit goes so hard. shit goes absolute bananas.

that snow theme is so brilliant because you hardly ever survive more than a minute, so when you do hear the second part of the track it becomes as tense as it feels to stay alive

The fact that dunkey was able to get through this whole video without mentioning Aquatic Ambiance shows how great the DKC soundtracks are

Man trolled us at 4:48 so hard, knowing DARN well that THAT song was the one we wanted to get hyped on.

The way Dunkey adds an echo effect to the word “echo” as he’s explaining the cave music is just another example of quality over quantity. 1:54

David Wise the legend, made all these tracks in his 20s, and had to overcome snes hardware limitations to make it happen. He inspired an entire generation of people around the world and showed them, along with Rare, how amazing games can be in the 90s

Wow, no dislikes again! Donkey Kong December is really helping Dunkey out.

3:54 The fact he gets through that particular portion of the map without the bird is seriously one of the greatest video game feats I’ve ever witnessed.

As someone that's literally listened to Donkey Kong country OST as a go to for music my entire life and wishing someone talked about the magic that is the OST, I'm so happy to see this

lost my grandma two years ago and this was our favorite game we would play together really just brings you back to a time that almost seems heavenly, huge props to dunkey for giving the soundtrack it’s flowers because it gives me chills and brings me back everytime I hear it, Love You Me Mom❤

David Wise is truly one of the people who really helped advance video game music, because the music is so much a part of what gives Donkey Kong Country its vibe. The music just fits each level and is so insanely catchy but also deep in scope.
