Rest in Peace Fat Pat, Rest in Peace Big Hawk, Rest in Peace Big T, and Rest in Peace Lil Will. 25 years later and this still jams. Reminds me of my childhood.

This song is dedicated to all the boys with a car worth 500$ with 3000$ rims

Who else listening to classics during quarantine 😭
  • I got my 10 year old daughter liking this song. She said to me that we had good taste in music. I'm 38 and she's right, we did have good taste and the best music back in the 90's and early 2000's
  • In 1998, my friend’s older brother brought this song over to a party on a CD-R burned using Nero. It was the only song on the disc and we played it on loop for 12 hours. Best party of my life, man.

Back when everybody had their own sound and creativity nobody was sounding the same in hip hop

Still dope AF, and the fact that Prince loved it and cleared the sample for free is proof of that.

My mom showed me this song as a little kid, on the same CD with Def Leppard and Sting. RIP Joey Lynn Randolph. I'm white af, and this opened up a whole world of music for me.

Wow. I heard this song for the first time today. At first, I thought it sounded good, I like the vocals, but not super. After listening to it for 3 minutes I got goosebumps. It's a masterpiece.

I bought Lil Troy's album Sittin' Fat Down South back in 1999 and there was a slip of paper that said if you send a snail mail fan request to Short Stop Records Lil' Troy himself would send back a signed autographed postcard. Sure enough he did. Very fuckin proud of it and I have it framed and hanging on my wall 22 years later. Much love, Lil' Troy! Peace✌
