Irish Beef and Guinness Stew๐Ÿ˜!
The secret behind the stew's depth of taste and color is Guinness Beer, which adds a savory touch without a beer-like tang. Rest assured, the alcohol content cooks off, leaving behind a delectable sauce. You can amp up the flavor by adding bacon, but it's optional. Treat yourself and your loved ones to this exceptional Hungarian stew recipe and let me know how you enjoy it! Have a delicious day ๐Ÿฅฐ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿค—

I am from Ireland and from my Irish school home economics book Irish Stew is made with lamb, potatoes, onions, pepper and salt, water and chopped parsley.

Now that's a dish that's brought back some memories of when I was growing up. Thank you so very much for another fantastic recipe

Hi ๐Ÿ‘‹, I am new to your channel, I enjoy watching ๐Ÿ‘€ you make your stew , because of where I live, I make Boeuf Bourguignon , I live by myself, so I make enough for at least 10 meals, it takes me about 7-9hr depending on when I start cooking, Watching you cook is sheer pleasure, ๐Ÿ˜‚.

My mother would put potatoes directly in the stew mix, and whole onions since my older brother for some reason said he really dislike the texture of onions. I still do the whole onions today (last week in fact) . Since leaving Ireland 30 years ago and now living in San Diego if I want a good Irish stew I have to make it myself.

The music makes the cooking so comforting, and you are such a lovely dream.

This looks delicious. Will be making soon when the snow is heavy and can really enjoy this while watching winter.

Oh dear Sophie!!! This looks so good and just my kind of meal when it is cold!! I am making this in a couple of days when I can gather all of the ingredients!! I was waiting on the potatoes lol and when you put the pasta in I thought what a brilliant idea for a change!!! Thank you so much for sharing this with us and sending you all love and hugs!!

Braise in the oven for more intense flavor. Also, for true Irish stew, you must add potatoes.

I have made this recipe 3 times now. It is absolutely delicious. I have served it with creamy mashed potato and peas - there's nothing better!! Thank you so much

That was magical to watch as a irish person I need to try this ๐Ÿ˜
  • My goodness! I like what I see. Absolutely stunning view of the soft and tender cut of meat. Going to have to try that with the beer. Thanks.

I did this recipe and it was AMAZING. I did do one mistake, I didnโ€™t brown the meat correctly, put too much at one time and made too much juice, which of course I used. Even with me screwing up, it was a hit. Thank you for sharing!!

Thank you Sophie, a wonderful meal for a chilly day. God bless you and your family.

Fantastic video. This is how my Irish mam made stew. She might have popped in a few drops of Worcester sauce when there was no Guiness to hand. If there were small potatoes available she often threw them in the last half hour to make the stew go further. It was great the next day too! Many thanks for the memories. Lecker indeed!

Thank you for the reminder coming into winter for Irish Guinness Stew but I must point out that this dish only has potatoes. We always put them into casserole for whatever time it takes to cook them. Or bake them in silver foil and butter an hour before casserole is finished. Deeelishious x
