we were there in july 2021 and it was one of the most amazing experiences of our lives <3
  • Hello Pietro, I saw this video in the stream from DrFox2000. I was there in the evening on July 2. I did a photography trip through Iceland of 10 days. On the last evening we went with one of our leader of the group and another one of the group and me to the volcano. I want it to see with my own eyes. I have been following it from day one. The leader had also a drone and filmed there. But I haven’t seen it yet. It was amazing to be there. I know how it look like there but when I was really standing there was great. We walked a little bit in Nátthagi and a little bit up Langihryggur. It was a nice sunset but suddenly there came clouds and the krater dis appears. Than we go back to the car. Very nice video. Thank you for sharing. Greetings from the Netherlands.

Beautiful footage 😍 Thank you for sharing!

Nice footage! Only i think 1 correction is that it is the first eruption since 800years on the reykaness pensula. So not from all iceland. By example in 2010 there was a big eruption in iceland.

Great footage and thanks for sharing! Fagradalsfjall eruption in 2021 was truly spectacular. Hoping that scientists will gain some insight and curious to see what comes from the study of the volcano and eruption in the coming years. Wondering though, did you mean to say "most famous volcano in Europe" or "one of the most famous"? Surely the recent eruption put a big spotlight on the volcanic system that was overlooked due to centuries of little activity. And if you do think it is now the most famous, where would you put the likes of Vesuvius, Etna, Hekla, Katla, etc & why so? Cheers from a geology enthusiast in Colorado that just returned from Iceland and Fagradalsjall :)

Impressive 🔥🔥. Thanks for this discover. 🙏 I guess the bottom of the crater is still very hot ?
  • I still remember seeing the red glow over it at night and the huge smoke during the days. Made me super uncomfortable Edit: it erupted again :(
  • Not the 'first' eruption in Iceland the past 800 years but the first one in that area in that timeframe. If we look at it in full scale we have volcanic activity 2-3 years apart in various places in Iceland. My bet is on Katla the next months to come.

Awesome footage Pietro. I would like to feature this on my live stream. It would provide you with more views and subscribers. I could certainly post the link as well. I was there in iceland Aug 2021 and was able to see it erupting. It is an awesome volcano. Thanks and please let me know if it ok to show you video on my live stream, cheers.😀👍
