The bit where Youtube responded by giving Markiplier a strike after he said where's my strike, tells me that a human being saw that and got butthurt. A human being working for YouTube is very much playing favorites and acting out of emotion.
  • The favoritism part seems very obvious considering the fact that a person like SSSniperWolf with a terrible track record of doing horrible things is rewarded and recommended all over YouTube.
  • Charlie: 'There's no concrete proof that the policy team is racist' There's also no proof that there's any humans on the team.

I feel bad for Cory. Dude is one of the nicest guys on the internet and this is how he gets repaid
  • @akoji
“I feel bad for Markiplier he’s done nothing wrong” Exactly, neither has anyone else, it’s all YouTube

The fact that YouTube still allow all these despicable “family” channels blatantly exploiting their kids and other very questionable content shows there is something rotten with this company.
  • When a company doesn't have competition they can do this without consequence. If we don't find a new website this will keep on happening.

Charlie… youre the ONLY youtube ive seen stand with cory on the racism standpoint and i am so happy that you touched on it instead of tip toeing around it
  • Btw if you haven't seen Cory's video fully, he states he doesn't exactly mean to drag Markiplier into this mess, but he is one of the more relatable channels to Cory's own
  • @AgitpropPsyop
The fact that, at first, they gave Markiplier a strike as well instead of removing Charlie’s is so incredibly petty

It IS absolutely TRUE, there IS favoritism by YT!! They are NOT enforcing the rules fairly and they do NOTHING to help with your appeal. Andy Hafell's channel just got deleted unfairly as well. He doesn't have a YT rep and has to deal with their crappy appeal process, which means. NOTHING was done at all! This definitely needs to be CHANGED!!
  • YouTube is basically like a parent who when accused of favouritism just starts treating the other child like shit as well
  • @Dacept
To add some insight on the appeal situation: there is no way there are actual humans behind that. I’ve had videos get taken down, and within literally 3 seconds of sending my appeal that’s supposed to be reviewed by a “human” the video goes back up. How would a “human reviewer” take literal seconds to review an 8 minute video? So broken
  • Cory’s channel is the definition of kid friendly. Cory makes me laugh without cursing at all. That is very impressive.
  • @Zachpi
There's definite favoritism, but with youtube using reports from users to look at videos as well, it only takes a few racists to spam reports then YouTube is suddenly taken a much closer look at black creators. Not justifying YouTube not having a better system, but I feel like this is probably a substantial part of the issue.
  • @GreenEnvy.
Youtube appeals are like 90's Microsoft asking "Would you like to send an error report?"
  • @alextremo1777
I love that Cory’s message is spreading like wildfire
  • YouTube could deadass just say "Sorry about the whole ordeal, you've recieved a large influx of reports, and our automated response system takes that weight into account when reviewing videos. After reviewing the video manually, we have discerned that the reports are false reports, and have lifted the restrictions. We apologize for the inconvenience!" and that would be better than what they're doing now.

John Wolfe, a smaller creator, also got age restrictions on his mortuary assistant playthrough so Corey isn't the only one.
