I'm an England supporter but I really enjoy watching Spain.
  • Spain, like England and Germany play free flowing football that gives the US problems in midfield and defense. I see a rise in talent in the European women’s game the past few years. The US may not be as dominant as they have been.
  • The new Spain (2024) is even better. Unbeatable. Rightly World Champion.
  • Spain is the better team, better jelled and decisive. Bravo!
  • Spain is quickly emerging as the new super power in the women's game. Their under-20 and under-17 teams have already won World Cups this year. It would not be surprising if their senior team completes the trifecta at the WWC next year.
  • Alguien tendria que decirles a las jugadoras estadounidenses que se trata de golpear el balon, no a las jugadoras rivales.
  • It was about two years before this that I knew Spain would rise to the top and that the dominance of the US would stop...and I don't mean diminish...I mean it would stop...possibly for decades.
  • World should give the Spanish players credit for having a very high soccer IQ

USA needs a goal scorer. I wish Press would come back.

the us women started with more skill than the rest of the women's team. the European women have caught up and passed the us women in skill. good thing the women got that contract when they did as they no longer have that bargaining chip.
  • why we get to see a shot of a coach every 30 seconds, I have no idea.

Que flojo el arbitraje, tremendas faltas, cuando se las hacen a ellas las sacan. Muy bien españa la verdad creció un montón.

The US was sloppy this time. They have a lot of young players they need time to grow as many rookies are coming in. Shout to Spain that 2nd goal was hella nice.

Too bad Mariona Caldentey and Alexia Putellas weren't there, I would love to have seen them play live.

You gotta give Spain due credit - they play well as a team and their strikers are lethal - ever dangerous regardless of which team is dominating on the pitch. Every time they get the ball in the attacking zone, they somehow can manufacture a scoring chance. And those forwards can often make a chance out of nothing. With all of the so-called talent that the USWNT can put up, it looks like their coaching could be better. The USW need a coach that paces the sideline and is emotionally in the game with their players. Those players are not playing up to their potential - they're like a group of individual players that are trying win it all by themselves. The addition of Pickett was a good move; she's a team player, and can distribute the ball well (as well as attack).
