This is called saviour siblings and they aren't always used to give up organs. Sometimes it can be a bone marrow transplant therefore both siblings are able to live

This sounds actually really similar to the book "Unwind" by Neal Shusterman. In it they banned abortion until the child is up to the age of 13. Between the ages of 13-18 parents can choose to have their child "Unwound" meaning that they take the kid apart and transfer their organs and body parts to other people, meaning that life doesn't technically end, you just live the rest of your life separated. And even though it's oddly relevant to today, it was published in 2007 I believe.

There have actually been cases where parents couldn’t find a match for their sick child so they had another kid and took that kids kidney or part of their liver and gave it to their sick child.

In my AP bio class we actually did a unit on this about whether it's ethical(and feasible) or not to clone humans for their parts to save the original or "true" child. It was interesting. It was during our cellular unit

Man really made “Never let me go” into a short series. Book was required by the school and it ok I guess like a 6/10. But the short here does do it some justice.

This is actually already happening with designer babies/test tube babies. Some parents purposely get a second child and screen and select an embryo with specific traits to save their first child. I don't think there have been any cases so far where they've been made to give organs like heart or lungs that would kill the second kid, but there have been cases where the second kid has been basically raised to donate bone marrow or a kidney or smth.

There’s a movie about this, I forgot what it’s called but there are clones raised on an island for the reason that the person who paid for the clone (usually someone rich) would have a kind of “insurance” in case they needed an organ or body part. The clones didn’t know and instead they thought they won a grand prize and they get to leave the island and explore the world when in reality they were killed so the original could use the organs
