The real unexplainable phenomena is how CD manages to fit so much content in under 5 minutes.
  • @Icysnowman256
3:13 “And finally he just...turned off the humans”. God if this isn’t some dystopian sci-fi right here
  • @dylankleton60
"I'm glad i'm on youtube." Me: Whoah, that's a new one!
  • @bukachell
I actually know the exact dance animations he used! They are on mixamo and literally those exact dance animations have been done to death almost EVERYWHERE

What I appreciate is that you don't just do technical analysis - you also examine the cultural, legal, ethical, and historical context and follow breadcrumbs that aren't necessarily immediately connected, like the Method Studios angle in this video. I wouldn't care as much about this channel if it was just VFX breakdowns, but you bring the full package, and I can't get enough.
  • @aSongScout
That fundamentals course was the VFX explanation equivalent of "If you wish to make an apple pie from scratch, you must first invent the universe."
  • @WasteFaced
this channel is gonna be huge when video manipulation goes political and we need someone to tell us what's real
  • @pseudotasuki
"That was brand new!" That was clearly a Mac Pro from 2013. For it to be "brand new" would require Apple to continue selling the same machine for five years without any significant updates! … Oh, right.
  • @ferouihamza
this is probably the most underrated channel on youtube, but quality over quantity
  • @Donnie121
I am glad you're on YouTube as well!!!!!!!!!

"The art world is terrible, I'm glad I'm on youtube"
  • @Tudumanu
I don't have words to describe the awesomeness of this video... the humor, the lessons... everything just look too good, even for CaptainDisillusion. Good work captain, good work...

I've been a motion designer for around 15 years and this is by far my most loathed trend. It's annoying how hard it has become to find the source of a good idea these days because there is just so much cloned noise out there. And the clones keep getting farther away from 'inspired by...' and closer to the realm of 'carbon copy'. Accessibility sure comes at a hefty price. Awesome video as always, keep it up!

Stop being brilliant and giving no one else a chance.
  • @peterjohnjoseph
The sheer work that must of went into just those 3D animation examples is more than most creators put into a month worth of videos.. You, my friend, are brilliant.
  • @MrCat-fy7bz
I've been in a motion capture system and i can honestly say its kinda trippy seeing yourself being animated in real time.
  • @BanditRants
As a motion graphics artist and video editor, I must say, CaptainDisillusion is an absolute beast.
  • @bobiboulon
When you said "So let's do it" I smiled and thought "That's why I love that guy". Thanks, Captain! :)
  • @youget2
As an owner of my first ever green sheet, this is still extremely impressive. I can barely get it to function properly while still. Correction, I can't get it to function at all.
