I believe that being able to distinguish what drum sounds, bass sounds, midrange sounds, etc., complement each other well is perhaps the most important key point that distinguishes amateur and professional composers.

So I really enjoy writing and singing. But I can’t produce to save my life lol. Thank you for this video. It was really eye opening and you went over a lot of beginner stuff that the other “professionals” forget about. Used Fruity Loops along with this video and was able to following along just fine :)

Brother, I'm a seasoned Ableton producer and I found so much value in this video, I love that our workflows are very similar, but learning all the little shortcuts and the minor details you are using is going to be a lifesaver and cut down so much on time.
