Spoiler warning for The Winds of Winter!

In the Winds of Winter, Jon Connington and Aegon son of Rhaegar (maybe) have done the impossible and taken the impregnable home of the Baratheons, Storm's End. George has left it ambiguous though how exactly Connington and the Golden Company accomplished this astounding feat. How they took a castle that has never fallen before. In this video, we'll figure out how the Golden Company did the impossible and took Storm's End.

"With Guile." That's how you know Jon Con is one of the best strategists in the game; by not saying his plan aloud, he gives GRRM no opportunity to subvert it and use it against him.

Would be really funny that the supposed son of Rhaegar and the bastard of Robert end up working together. There would be a symbolic of "national reconciliation" between the pro Robert and the pro Targaryen factions. That would surely also be beneficial to Aegon's cause Until Daenerys comes crashing down, that is
  • @Carlos-ln8fd
I love Aegon and Jon C. Such cool characters. This is going to be an amazing chapter in the book.
  • Excellent theory. I’ve never heard the idea that Edric Storm could be used to take Storm’s End peacefully. I always just assumed that JonCon would pretend that the Golden Company was there to back Stanis, and then kill everyone once inside.
  • @eric2500
I think that the friendship between Shireen and Edric is just another way to show up that this society has a million different ways to be cruel to children.
  • @johnmurdoch8534
Proof of the writing is that you can love stannis and still want to see aegon take storms end
  • @EdrickSnowbeard
Seeing that Gendry took Edric’s place in the show, it makes even more sense that Edric will be legitimized by Aegon. Gendry gets legitimized by Daenerys in season 8. It’s possible that GRRM told D&D about how Aegon’s and Jon Connington’s story ended, regardless of the fact that they obviously cut them from the show. It seems more than likely that with Varys and Illyrio’s vast web of informers, along with Griff’s political savvy, Storm’s End will fall. Good catch there, sir.
  • JonCon is going to cause an outbreak of greyscale from Storm's End to King's Landing, and he'll be the one to flip out when King's Landing rings the bells signaling surrender.
  • @adamtideman4953
So you're telling me Jons plan to take Storms End is to play Guiles theme during the siege?
  • I really like this combined with the idea that Aurane Waters is the Lord of the Waters and will side with YG/Faegon, that and Faegon being a Blackfyre and Varys’ whole “power resides where men believe it resides” makes a bunch of illegitimate bastards assuming the positions of their respective houses so neat, a faction of mummers… especially since they actually seem pretty adept at assuming the noblest qualities of their respective houses
  • If edric was raised in a noble household and born to a noblewoman and trained with weapons daily he could be a realistic claimant
  • @made-line7627
Bravo 👏 Really into the whole "Aegon and Orys come again" vibe you've got going on. It's pretty legit. I really hope we get to see this, though I'd be surprised if we don't get something similar, because how the Hell else are they going to weasel their way into that castle?
  • @americus9034
I'm personally looking forward to how Aegon and the Golden Company's story is going to unfold in the Winds of Winter. It's been a while since the War of the Five Kings felt like a war, I guess six kings now lol
  • @Hatypus
Doesn't Edric already have a warhammer in the style of Robert's and the right size for one his age? Sent to him by none other than Varys.
  • @14:48 Davos never hired Salador to kill Mel, he borrowed a knife while Saan urged him not to do it
  • @sithari518
The artist who drew that Young Griff drawing in the beginning must've used Cody Rhodes as their model for his face. It's a striking resemblance, especially the mouth/eyes area -- great drawing!!
  • Oh Poor Edric, and poor Aegon he is going to have a whole faction of pretenders and end up dying... Sad
  • @made-line7627
"The last time, torches had burned all along the tunnel, and the eyes of starving men had peered down through the murder holes in the ceiling." F*cking nightmareville
  • In Arianne's second chapter of Winds of Winter it says that Connington has already taken Storms End. But that might be a lie.
