The reason for there being 2 runs on daisy circuit was that there was actually a tie between Hia and myself. I have since broken the tie and was beaten by Hia shortly after
  • @CowMaam
to clarify, the vid did not have a mistake on daisy circuit, there was a tie for WR so both runs were shown
  • @typhoonthunder
Been having a super shitty day today, glad to have something to take my mind off recent events. 200cc is always a joy to watch!

Who is ready for TASer reacts to skilled casual player reacting to RTA TTs? Anyone? No? Oh well, let's get started... 0:38 I have a LC 200cc TAS on my channel which basically uses exactly the same strats as RTA, and it's a 46.0, so yeah the WR is VERY close to the limit 4:23 Daisy is probably used to assist with drift and benefit from all the MTs being used. I also have a MG 200cc TAS on my channel (it's 3.5 seconds faster than RTA) which uses Funky Kong that has about 2x as many MTs and more mushroom skipping than what's done RTA. I probably should have used Daisy because of the MTs. RTA is a step ahead :p 14:15 Pole clip on WGM has actually been faster for flap TASes for over 3 years now, and last year was even found to be faster for 3lap (though no TAS has been made)! 18:10 Shoutout to fellow TASer Epik95 for discovering this! Funnily enough, there are very few 200cc strats that RTA does that were found by TASers, as most 200cc TAS strats are not RTA viable 21:45 This has actually been done on 150cc in a flap setting using Wario Bike Supersliding to enter the lap at 120 speed. Nowhere near RTA viable but it's possible. 22:25 I have a MT 200cc TAS on my second channel (it's 10 seconds faster than RTA) which does the fast ultra strat on all 3 laps, and uses quacker to both accelerate fast and do the gap cut after cannon no-stop 29:27 I have a DDR 200cc TAS on my second channel (it's 7 seconds faster than RTA) which does the "ultra" on both laps 1->2 and 2->3 by using 1 mushroom each, so it is useful, just not easy 31:08 It's a Daisy record because of the U-turn. Also, the tricks could always be done similarly to 150, they're just harder. I have a MH 200cc TAS on my second channel (it's 1.5 seconds faster than RTA) which uses Daisy and does mostly the same strategies as 150, just with a fixed shroomspot at the start instead of the bridge 32:59 If you think those 3 glitches are crazy, I have a BC 200cc TAS on my second channel (it's 41 seconds faster than RTA) which does 3 glitches 3/3. I also have a lap 1 short on my main channel which does a spiral skip using a wallclip instead of the halfpipes. BC is genuinely insane on 200 36:48 200cc does have all the tech 150cc has, it's just since it's way more fast-paced, there's less room for as many strats per section, plus the runs considerably less optimised 41:47 KingAlex wasn't the one to find that method however. Many different methods to make that without RFH have existed over the years, and the most recent one was found by mkwLuke, which was then used by him to get the flap record 43:12 Once again another example of a WR being close to limit. I have a rPB 200cc TAS on my channel which is a 47.7, so only 0.7 off. 44:00 I have a work-in-progress rYF 200cc TAS which uses Spear, and is on pace to beat this RTA run by almost 2 seconds. I would like to see someone try Spear RTA 45:15 The extent of my 200cc TASing doesn't make it anywhere past this, so I can't give as much insight going forward, but if I were to guess, you could probably make the 400cc strat on 200cc using a RFH ejection off the hill, similar to old speed mod TASes from 2018 46:45 The reason it's done 3/3 shroomless is definitely because it's easier. It's easier because they aren't clipping the pole, they're clipping the floor (i.e. the wall beneath the floor) 49:50 I'd be curious to see if people attempt the ODB method, as it would allow for a 3/3 ultra run. I'm aware that the strategy is painful so, just like MG, it seems unlikely to be used 53:30 First of all, shoutout to fellow TASer marvus! Second, this method is used because it's easier than the 150 method, and so doing it 3/3 is far more reasonable for a run. As far as I know, it's definitely not faster than the 150 method 56:55 Fun fact: I was on WW tops for rDH 200cc in 2019-20, I think I've dropped to somewhere between 20th and 30th last I checked. That track had 3 TASers (myself, Thomas, Jellopuff) in the top 10 at one point with Jellopuff having WR for multiple years 1:01:35 Definitely my favourite case of a backup/easier strat being used for 200. The checkpoint navigation is a pain to wrap your head around because the checkpoints overlap 1:07:06 You should check out the 1:16.902 3lap TAS by sorry. Over the course of 2021-2023, many new strats were found, and there are now definitely shortcuts that go over gaps 1:07:16 One of the most genuine reactions of the video. Made me smile :) 1:07:32 Just wait until you find out that the hole in the wall cut is faster for 150cc superhopping TASes (you take the shroomspot shroomless and then shroom late to go through the hole in the wall) 1:09:00 Just like MG, I think there's a chance Daisy is faster here due to just how many miniturbos there are in the run. When you are actively noticing just how many chain drifts there are, that's a sign you probably should be considering a combo with better MT stat 1:17:21 Ok I forgot my first ever 200cc TAS was actually rBC, and it beats RTA by almost 4 seconds mainly due to the ending section having RFH and it being faster to do the ending shortcut with a mushroom and RFH instead of shroomless with the high trick off the prior ramp This fresh look at every track gives me motivation to return to 200cc TASing some time this year!
  • @MarvusMinglebert
i was so excited when i got the rWS glitch record because i knew there was a possibility i would featured in this! this is my very first wr btw!
  • 17:43 Two players apparently got exactly the same time that’s why Daisy Circuit showed up twice! (Player 1 from 2022 was Mystogan from the US, and Player 2 from 2023 was Hia from the UK)
  • @GUT5S
I look forward to this video every single year, I had top 10 ww on 200cc grumble sc for a few days a long while ago and it's the one thing I'm proud of hahaha
  • @MystrMeat
i love these reaction videos, cannot wait to see how 200cc time trials get improved in the coming years!
  • @videleon0494
17:43 I'm pretty sure that's a run from another player that tied the previous WR, that's why they're two of them.
  • @davidconradt2934
22:23 I actually have had the Flap wr two times and have tried to do this strat on and off on a 3lap for a couple of months back then. It is very very difficult. The precision to actually hit the right checkpoints is miniscule. If you go too far left, Invisible wall. If you are too far to the right, you hit the kcp. As well as the setup being pretty difficult because of the speed you have and all of the bumps on the road. It is very tough, but I still believe it to be faster by a bunch. Just way way way more difficult to hit, and then hit it fast enough. Sometimes I don't even know why it doesn't count the lap, but it just doesn't. All in all, very difficult
  • @jdbrocks1200
It's always so cool to see people find ways to improve on the last wr and still can beat the wr even if the last wr was just made one mistake in it
  • @LiamDeege
I just reacted to all of them a few days ago coincidently and I was like; "Can't wait to see Troy react to this."
  • @DayE114
Yo Troy thanks again for putting 200cc in the spotlight!! My hope is that next year you’ll be reacting to a 1:14 dk summit. Hoping I pull through with that haha. I can say with certainty that you will see interesting things next year already though! Some historic times beaten and subs set and it’s not even February! Lots to anticipate :_twdPray:
  • @ElecTrick11037
Maybe next year I’ll get in one of these compilations… although with Hia being as incredible as he is, I wouldn’t put any money on it lol Fun fact btw, I was the one who discovered that taking the left side on the mushroom gorge cave is faster, and I got the second ever 1:13 with it! (And then Hia got a 1:12 like a week later lol) Oh also Daisy Circuit wasn’t a mistake, Mystogan and Hia got a WR tie
  • @G0at3dLampxx429
Let’s go thanks for doing this even tho I didn’t request it this is why ur my fav YouTuber
  • @dagsmk
Its insane how records are still improving
  • @zachdamenti4387
9:38 Celebrating 5 years of CTGP time trials! There’s definitely a whole lot more world records of Mario Kart Wii glory to come than meets the eye!
